Bella Murphy is a rising movie star who is the daughter of the legendary actor and comedian Eddie Murphy. The actress walks in her father's footsteps but also shows a striking resemblance to her mother.

Bella, born in 2002, delved into the entertainment industry when she made her acting debut in 2021 alongside her famous father in "Coming 2 America," the sequel to "Coming To America."

In 2022, she landed a role in Andrew Durham's "Fairyland," a Sofia Coppola adaptation based on the memoir of Alysia Abbott titled "Fairyland: A Memoir of My Father."

She also got a role as Zelda in an episode of "Dollface." Besides acting, she has also appeared in several shows such as "Entertainment Tonight," "Access Hollywood," "Good Morning America," and "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," among others.

Bella had dreamed of acting in a movie since she was in third grade, but they had a rule in their family where the Murphy children were not allowed to enter the entertainment industry until they turned 18.

However, Bella's father broke the rule for her even though she never thought it was possible. She said:

"Me and my dad do lots of acting scenes together, just for fun. He's a great teacher, and it's just something we enjoy doing. We also watch a bunch of movies, and I was going to acting classes."

Bella's father did not use fame to get her the role as he said she had to earn it. He said:

"I wasn't musclin' my kid into the movie. She had to really be able to — you know, to deliver. Otherwise, she wouldn't have gotten the role."

Bella already has her idols in the movie industry, and it was easy for her to meet them since her father is a star too. Once Eddie threw a party at his house, where Bella saw her celebrity crush, actor Leonardo DiCaprio.

While Bella's father is Eddie, her mother is his ex-wife Nicole Mitchell Murphy, whom he met in 1988 when they attended the NAACP Image Awards show and married in January 1993.

After five children, Nicole and Eddie announced that they were divorcing in 2006. In a statement, Bella's father said: "The welfare of our children is our main concern, and their best interest is our first priority."

BELLA HAS A LOT OF SIBLINGS

Bella is one of ten of Eddie's children. She has siblings who share the same mother with her — Bria, Myles, Shayne, and Zola.

Bria is the eldest Murphy daughter he had with Nicole while they were still dating. She has worked in Hollywood, is the co-founder of art gallery ArtUS, and on July 9, 2022, she married Canadian actor Michael Xavier.

Myles is Bella's elder brother, born in 1990. He is in a long-term relationship with his girlfriend, Carly Fink, and they made Eddie a first-time grandpa when they welcomed their daughter, Evie Isla Murphy, on July 2, 2019.
