'Home Alone's Macaulay Culkin Beams While Doing Fatherly Duties for Sons He Shares with Co-star

Macaulay Culkin is most famous for his iconic role in the Christmas film "Home Alone". The star is now engaged to actress Brenda Song and enjoying every moment of fatherhood.

Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song were famous from childhood; Culkin starred in the fan-favorite Christmas movie, "Home Alone," which is still the must-watch film to keep the holiday spirit going.

Song also started acting in the '90s. She is known for her role in "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody" as the spoiled but fashion-forward heiress London Tipton.

The romance between the childhood stars sparked when they acted in the 2019 film "Changland." The dating rumors started in 2017 while the film was still in production. They went on a double date in Buena Park, California, with Seth Green and his wife, Clare Grant.

A few months later, the new couple took a trip to the city of love, Paris, with Culkin's goddaughter, Paris Jackson. The relationship was kept private, but a year later, "They were spotted holding hands and being cute with each other," reported Us Weekly.

However, a year later, Song spoke to Us Weekly and gushed over her boyfriend. She said, "[The relationship is] great! I don't like to talk about my personal life, but everything's wonderful, and I'm happy."

Before finding each other, Song and Culkin were in serious long-term relationships. The "Home Alone" star was married to Rachel Miner.

He also dated actress Mila Kunis for nine years before they broke up in 2011. Song was also engaged to the older brother of Miley Cyrus, Trace Cyrus, but they ended in 2012.

On Culkin's 40th birthday, the actress celebrated her boyfriend with an Instagram picture of them wearing matching personalized pajamas. Song added a sweet caption and wrote:

“My unicorn that I never thought could exist, I am the luckiest person in the world because I am loved by you.”

THE COUPLE'S DECISION TO START A FAMILY

Culkin and Song were very excited to build a feature together from the beginning. After two years since their relationship went public, the actor told Joe Rogan how excited he was to start having children with his partner.

Malkin had an interesting way of telling Rogan that they had already started the process of conceiving. He said:

“I mean, we’ve definitely been practicing. [With] this one, I’m going to have some pretty babies. She’s Asian, so I’m gonna have tiny little Asian babies. It’s going to be adorable.”

Having children was not the only big step the couple had considered taking; the "My Girl" actor also said at that moment they had started planning to move in together to complete their little family of "a pretty dog, a pretty cat" and soon-to-be pretty children.

Culkin was not wrong about starting a family with Song. The couple welcomed their first son Dakota Song Culkin, named after the late actor's younger sister, who passed in 2008.

The couple did not say much when Esquire asked them for a statement after welcoming the baby boy; they simply commented: "We're overjoyed.”

According to Esquire, Song and Culkin were big fans of animals; before their son came along, the couple had three cats, one that the actor got for his girlfriend for Christmas named Santa, a few fish, a Shiba Inu, and a parrot. It is a full house!

In early 2022, the couple also got engaged. The low-key couple did not say much about the news; Song was just seen out about with a big diamond ring on her finger.

The animal-loving family was headed to the zoo for a fun activity. Even though the news of their engagement just broke, the couple is taking their time with the wedding plans and focusing on building memories with their son.

The couple hosted Dakota's 1st birthday at Sesame Street in San Diego. Culkin posted an Instagram photo expressing his appreciation for the people that made it call to come together.

The father said the Sesame street party was a dream come true for his son. Sesame Street is still making childhood memorable decades later.

A close source told US Weekly that Song is thriving in this new chapter of motherhood. "Becoming a mom has changed her," said the insider.

Moreover, Culkin and Song have support from all directions, which is essential when building a family. An insider told Us Magazine: "She has a good support system around her, but she and Macaulay are hands-on parents."
