Per Us Weekly, Prince Harry is "full of sorrow and regret" following Queen Elizabeth II's death. Like the rest of his family, the Duke of Sussex still finds it hard to deal with his beloved grandmother's passing.

A source revealed to the outlet that the prince is regretful that he was not able to say his final goodbye to the Queen whom he last saw in June 2022. The insider added that though they crossed paths a few times during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, he did not expect that it would "be the last time he saw her":

"He loved his grandmother with all his heart and is going through a terrible time right now. The news hasn't fully sunk in," the insider added.

Prince Harry reunited with Her Majesty when he traveled to England with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Archie and Lilibet. The Jubilee celebrations marked the first time the Queen met her great-granddaughter, who was born after the royal couple moved to the US.

The monarch had been forced to cancel some of her Jubilee appearances because of her health, but a source told the outlet at the time that the Queen happily agreed to make an exception for her grandson and his brood.

Per the Daily Mail, via The Mail on Sunday, in the wake of the royal matriarch's death, Prince Harry has reportedly launched a last-minute request to dilute pieces of information on his upcoming book amid reports that it "might not go down too well."

The memoir had already been signed off for its autumn release when the Duke asked to make some significant changes. While his action may be viewed as having a change of heart toward the Royal Family, it may cause issues with his publishers.

An insider revealed the prince has hindered with the process of the book because he is determined to tone down the tension between him and his family in light of the Queen's death and his father as the new reigning monarch:

"He wants sections changed now. It's not a total rewrite by any means. He desperately wants to make changes. But it might be too late."

Another issue, according to publishing sources, the prince may have limited leeway to make his desired alterations given that he has already been paid a seven-figure advance.

Notably, publishers Penguin Random House demanded a rewrite from the royal after deeming the first draft "too touchy-feely" because he had focused too much on mental health issues.

Amid his proactiveness, Markle has become entangled in another controversy involving another book with revelations about the Royal Family.

Fans Defend Markle amid Former Staff Accusations

Per Express, royal author Valentine Low has revealed in his new book, "Courtiers: The Hidden Power behind the Crown"б that Prince Harry and Markle mistreated their former staff.

The said employees reportedly call themselves the "Sussex Survivors Club" due to the harsh treatment they received from the royal couple. During the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's royal tour of the South Pacific, they were well received in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Tonga.

However, according to Low's book, the pair was allegedly rude to their staff and the media. During a royal tour, it is "standard" for the Royal Family to make their way to the back of the plane to greet the media and thank them for their presence.

But Prince Harry's demeanor toward the press seemed reluctant. While on a flight from Sidney to Tonga, his staff reportedly informed the media that he would make an appearance. Low recounted the events on that day:

"Harry looked like a sulky teenager, and Meghan stood by him, smiling benignly. Harry sounded rushed, as if he couldn't wait to get back into the first-class cabin."

"'Thanks for coming,' he said, 'even though you weren't invited,'" Low recalled. The author deemed the prince's comment "spectacularly rude", claiming when staff told the royal that he had offended the press, the father of two stated: "Well, you shouldn't have made me do it."

The rest of the staff were stunned by the Sussexes' behavior and branded themselves as "survivors", according to Low. Moreover, he revealed the team reportedly called Markle a "narcissistic sociopath".

Fans have since defended the Duchess of Sussex on social media following the fresh claims against her. One Twitter user said the constant attack on the royal is uncalled for.

"What's the obsession with always attacking her and criticizing her? Just leave the woman alone. The constant criticism is ridiculous," wrote the individual.

Another person said enough is enough: "Enough of this. Oh, these royal aides forgot to accuse Meghan of bullying the Queen's dogs, horses, and flowers."

A third social media user stated that it was ironic how the former staff villainized Markle while one of them chose to move to North America with her.

"Yes, that's why one moved to California to work with her, and she still works with two former palace aides who set up consultancy."

The King Remains Undecided Regarding Titles for Archie & Lilibet

Meanwhile, there has been an ongoing debate on whether or not Markle and Prince Harry's son and daughter, Archie, and Lilibet, would get their Prince and Princess titles. Per Cosmopolitan, it all depends on their grandfather, King Charles III.

Royal author Katie Nicholl, via Vanity Fair, the head of state still has to decide on his grandchildren's titles and waits to see what happens with his son's book, including his upcoming Netflix docuseries with Markle. A royal insider close to the King explained:

"It depends a lot on what happens in the coming months, particularly with Harry's book and their TV show."

Following the Queen's death, the Duke and Duchess have been "relentless" in insisting that their kids "are prince and princess", an insider told The Sun. They have also been infuriated after learning their brood could not take the HRH title because "they are not working royals".

The royal couple's primary concern is reportedly security, said a source: "Harry and Meghan were worried about the security issue, and being prince and princess brings them the right to have certain levels of royal security."

At the same time, sources revealed that the monarch is committed to repairing his relationship with the Sussexes. One pal explained that although the royal patriarch has been "hurt and disappointed" by the duo, he still loves his son: "He is hurt and disappointed, but he has always said his love for Harry is unconditional."
