On Sunday, October 16, 2022, Andy Cohen, the host of "Watch What Happens Live," brought an exceptional guest to BravoCon. The TV personality hosted the reality show convention with his 5-month-old daughter, Lucy Eve Cohen, at his side.

In an Instagram post, the host shared a couple of photos of him holding his daughter on stage. In the pictures, Andy holds Lucy on his lap with one hand. The host captioned the images with a simple, "Bring your Daughter to #BravoCon Day!"

The post went down very well with fans, judging from the comment section on Instagram alone. People loved to see the Bravo star with his daughter, and many admired Lucy, calling her "adorable." Even Khloe Kardashian responded to the post, saying:

"What a beautiful sweet Angel."

Another user replied, "Now that's a cute baby." The "Angel" monicker seemed to stick as a few more people referred to Lucy this way. Naomi Campbell commented, calling Lucy a "Divine Angel."

The host also spoke to his fans about parenting and his own parenting methods during an "Ask Andy" event at the convention. Andy's advice was sound, considering Lucy is his second child. Her older brother, Benjamin Allen, is 3-years-old. Andy said that his advice for raising kids is to be present:

"Get help. Just try to be present. Figure out your relationship with your phone. Try to have fun. And get help."

Later, when he was asked whether he'd rather turn to Sarah Jessica Parker or Kelly Ripa for parenting tips, Andy responded, "Both!" He explained that he respects both of their opinions on the matter and already leans on them for support. He admitted that whenever he has a problem, the two ladies are ready with a solution.

With his family expanding, the TV producer needed some more room at home. Andy recently bought himself a new home to accommodate his new daughter. The house is reportedly a prewar duplex penthouse located in the West Village of Manhattan.

Andy's New Apartment

The penthouse is located at the top of a 17-story building north of Canal Street. The house features beautiful decor and lovely architecture, such as beamed ceilings. The kitchen has a french door, and the apartment offers unbelievable views of the rest of Manhattan.

The terrace adds 2000 square feet of outdoor space for the family to enjoy, and the house even comes with a lovely, sunny solarium. The house has three bedrooms and four bathrooms. The property was listed at last asking at around $18.3 million.

On top of that, the penthouse is dated. Many features will have to be renovated and redone, adding a hefty amount on top of what the TV star will be paying. At the moment, though, Andy is still living in a duplex nearby.

The new duplex has a fascinating past as well. The building was developed by the Bing Brothers in 1930 and designed in 1929 by the legendary Emery Roth. The sellers are currently Willard Taylor and Virginia Davies, New York lawyers, as well as Democratic Party fundraisers.

Although Andy is a busy man, he says his kids get to see him quite often during the day, and he makes an effort to be present.

The building's lower level houses the kitchen, a big living room, a powder room, and a bedroom/study with a bathroom attached. The upper floor, with its astonishing 14-foot ceilings, has a bedroom and a bathroom. But what makes the upper floor impressive is almost certainly the massive great room.

These two buildings are part of Emery Roth's giant resume, seeing as he designed multiple luxury apartments throughout New York. He was also the Bing Brothers' go-to architect and was known for ornate styles and spacious interiors.

Andy's Life as a Single Father

As the mind behind "The Real Housewives" and the host of multiple shows, Andy's life can be busy. When he raised Benjamin Allen, his son born via surrogate, he managed to build up a great support system.

The St. Louis native said that he has a bunch of incredible women in his life who all support him and offer him advice when he needs it. This group includes Sarah Jessica Parker and Kelly Ripa, who both suggested nannies. The single father commented on raising his son:

"You know it's great, so far, so good. I have a lot of support. I have a lot of women in my life who are helping me out, and he makes it really easy. He's a cheerful, great kid, he makes it fun. I learn things every day,"

Although Andy is a busy man, he says his kids get to see him quite often during the day, and he makes an effort to be present. When Benjamin was younger, Andy said he only leaves to do his show after the boy has gone to bed, making everything easy.

Andy said being present is integral to a good relationship between parents and their kids. He explained that he wants his children to know that he is and always will be there for them. Especially with all his jobs keeping him busy:

"You want him to know you're around and you're always gonna be around, and that's hard for me because I have a lot of jobs. Believe it or not, I'm really in and out all day of my home. He gets to see me throughout the day, which is great."

Andy also makes sure to spend quality time with his kids. Back in 2021, the radio host and his son dressed up in matching astronaut outfits. Together, they went trick-or-treating and accumulated a big bag of Halloween goodies. Everyday things like this are how he suggests parents stay in touch with their young ones.
