The couple extended an olive branch to Jennifer Garner recently after she was excluded from both of the couple's wedding ceremonies. The gesture is said to have improved the relationship between the couple and their exes.

Affleck and Lopez have five children combined, and as the holiday season approached, they turned their attention to how to incorporate all five of their children and ex-spouses in their holiday celebrations.

A source said that Lopez loved Christmas and wanted all five children to be with her and Affleck on the holiday. They are also planning a large Thanksgiving celebration despite their busy schedules.

Last year, Lopez and Affleck had big holiday plans, too, but they did not include their ex-spouses. A source said that Lopez focused on making the holiday special for the children and not on having their ex-spouses present.

Although the ex-spouses did not spend the last holiday season together, they are beginning to mend fences and bettering their relationship. However, Garner did not attend either of the couple's wedding ceremonies.

Garner has accepted Lopez and Affleck's relationship and even gave them her blessing to get married. However, she did not attend the ceremonies and instead spent time with two influential men in her life.

Affleck and Lopez's Children Played a Vital Role in Their Wedding

Affleck and Lopez had two wedding ceremonies, one was a surprise wedding in Vegas, and the second was a more formal celebration of their marriage held in Georgia on Affleck's property. Many celebrity guests attended.

Garner was to be included in both of the wedding ceremonies but did not turn up at either of the ceremonies. All five children were included in the Georgia wedding, but one child was missing from the Vegas ceremony.

However, the guests of honor were the couple's combined children, as they all worked together to ensure the day ran smoothly. One of their duties was helping Lopez carry her 20-foot veil into the house after the ceremony.

As the couple left the alter after they said "I do," their children also joined them. Lopez's children, Max and Emme, 14, walked beside her as Affleck's children, Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Sam, 11, walked beside him.

However, a source close to Garner mentioned that the invitation was not given very long in advance. The source confirmed:

"Ben did tell Jen about the wedding, but I'm told it was only Friday at the earliest. It was very, very minimally planned in advance and was largely spur of the moment."

It was said that Lopez was supportive of Affleck inviting his ex-wife as she understood Garner played an essential role in her step-children’s lives, and she and Garner had become closer because of the children.

Affleck and Garner's oldest child, Violet, was said to have stayed home with her mother on the night of Affleck and Lopez's Vegas wedding as a sign of loyalty to her mother. However, she attended the bigger wedding in Georgia.

Miller works as the CEO of CaliBurger and CaliGroup. He also worked at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, where he acted as the VP of intellectual property, and he is also an attorney. He and Garner met the same year her divorce from Affleck was finalized.

The same month Garner's divorce from Affleck was finalized, Miller and Garner went public with their relationship. Miller was still legally married at the time, but his divorce was finalized a month later. It was then revealed that the couple had been together for six months before the announcement.

Initially, the couple wanted to take their relationship slowly, but it quickly got serious. Miller spent more and more time at Garner's Palisades home with her and her children, where a source said they all stayed up late playing board games.
