"Happy 25th anniversary to my guy, my best friend, my partner in life," the "Charlie's Angels" star said happily to her husband.
Jacquelyn Ellen "Jaclyn" Smith starred in the hugely popular TV show, "Charlie's Angels." She was the only one of the actresses who played her character throughout all five seasons of the show. Now, as a retired actress, she has turned to new things in life.
Before Jaclyn became famous, she decided to become a married woman. But her first few marriages were rocky and unfortunately didn't last. In 1968, the yet-to-be star married a man called Roger Davis. The two went their separate ways in 1975.
Then, in 1978, Jaclyn married her second husband, Dennis Cole. However, this union was not destined to last either, and the two split up in 1981. This allowed Jaclyn to fall for Tony Richmond. Since they share two children, Tony was arguably essential in Jaclyn's history.
By the time Jaclyn married Tony in 1981, she was on her way to stardom. She had landed a role in ABC's crime drama, "Charlie's Angels," and was already adored by many. The couple had their oldest child, Gaston Richmond, in 1982. His sister, Spencer Margaret, followed in 1985.
But, this marriage was also doomed to fail. The actress and her filmmaker husband decided to divorce after eight years together. They left each other in 1989. After Tony, Jaclyn focused on her career while prioritizing her children.
Finally, in 1997, Jaclyn found someone she could spend the rest of her days with. She married her fourth husband, Brad Allen, and the two have been together ever since. Jaclyn is a happy grandmother celebrating her anniversary with her loving husband.
The Surgeon That Stole Jaclyn's Heart
Jaclyn and Brad met at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas. Brad was working there as a cardiothoracic surgeon. Brad was operating on Jaclyn's father at the time. Brad accompanied Jaclyn to their car, and they got along from the start.
On top of everything that kept the kids happy, the house also had enough office space for her and Brad. But, what truly excited the actress was her vision for the home.
The two started dating in 1996. Jaclyn said he was kind, and she saw a purity of heart in him. The two dated for a year and eventually tied the knot in 1997. They never had any children together, but Brad is a loving stepfather to Jaclyn's two kids.
After retiring from show business, Jaclyn keeps herself busy in other ways. Besides becoming a successful businesswoman, she devotes herself to her family. Her two children have always been integral to the actress' life, and now she has grandchildren to entertain as well.
A few years ago, Jaclyn was diagnosed with breast cancer. Although she has recovered and the cancer is in remission, she still remembers the initial shock and fear. Her first worry was whether she would be able to be there for her children:
"My first question was, 'Will I be here for my children?' And he said, 'Absolutely. You got this early, we'll take care of it.' Did it affect our whole family? Yeah. They were in denial. I looked like the healthiest person in the world."
Luckily, the TV star recovered with the support of her family. But it's no wonder the actress considers family as an essential aspect of her life. She makes sure to celebrate the important things with them. On October 11, 2022, the actress had the chance to spend her 25th wedding anniversary with her husband.
The House Jaclyn Calls Home
Besides being a beloved actress, Jaclyn is also passionate about furniture design. She describes herself as "very neat" and a "perfectionist." It's no wonder, then, that Jaclyn keeps a meticulous house with every detail constantly being considered.
The "Shear Genius" star admitted to a weakness for older properties. She said she loves the process of fixing the house up and making sure everything is perfect. That's precisely why her current Georgian colonial home caught her eye.
The house also offered something for every member of the family. It was large enough to accommodate everyone, and it had a range of amenities. The tennis court was perfect for Gaston, and the pool would make an ideal place for Spencer to get together with friends.
On top of everything that kept the kids happy, the house also had enough office space for her and Brad. But, what truly excited the actress was her vision for the home. She redid every room to fit her plan. The entire place was done over and filled with various patterns and fabrics.
She chose intricate floral prints to compliment the roses that can be found all over. Her dining room features an impressive crystal chandelier and a beautiful wooden table with matching chairs. She even had custom panels installed in the dining room to give it the perfect atmosphere.
The house's open floor plan adds to the airy feel and allows for sunlight to fill every room. Jaclyn even planned out the garden to be a quiet, restful area. The area around the house adds a pretty touch to the property, with John F. Kennedy roses in full bloom during August.
The actress's husband, Brad, mostly lets her handle the decor in the house. Although, he was delighted when she decided to remove the fabric wall covering in the master bedroom's loft. Jaclyn is still staying busy by constantly renovating her home and managing her business, all the while supporting her family.
