He Comes from a Family of Entertainment Professionals

He is known for his works in "The Talented Mr. Ripley," "The English Patient," "The Reader," "Breaking and Entering," "Nine," and "A Little Like Drowning," among others.

Max Minghella Grew up in London but Studied in the US
Max grew up in Hampstead, London, but the place made him feel like he was in a tiny town. When it was time to attend university, he left the United Kingdom for the United States, where he attended Columbia University.
Besides the feeling of being in a small town, he did not finish high school in England and did not have the qualifications to attend a university there without going back to school.
In addition, he was already 21 and did not think it was a logical step to return to school. The easiest way he could continue his education was to do it in the United States by taking the SATs.
He Met Elle Fanning on the Set
Elle and Max first met in 2018 when she starred in "Teen Spirit," a musical drama and the first movie he directed. The movie's world premiere occurred at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, 2018.
In the movie, she starred as Violet Valenski, a shy small-town teenager bent on pursuing her passion for singing despite her mother's initial disagreement.
Although filming started in 2017, it was not until 2018 that the couple sparked dating rumors after they were seen laughing and taking a stroll together in London.
After the movie's 2019 release, Max revealed that Elle was the only actress who could have pulled off the role. He said:
"You have to be able to sing [...] dance, [...] speak Polish convincingly, do the British accent, play the age range and carry the movie with an incredibly nuanced performance."

Max believed it was a lot for one person but praised Elle for handling everything with discipline and professionalism and never complaining.
One year after they sparked dating rumors, the couple made their red carpet debut when they attended the Met Gala Celebrating Camp: Notes on Fashion on May 6, 2019, in New York City.
