'Top Gun's Jennifer Connelly Still Holds Hands with Husband after 20 Years of Marriage

After 20 years of marriage, people tend to lose the spark in their relationship, but the opposite is true for Jennifer Connelly and her husband, Paul Bettany. Connelly is best known for her role in "Top Gun," and Bettany is best known for his role in "WandaVision."

While they are both big names in the film industry, they live a simple life together as a married couple. They were recently seen taking their dog for a stroll in New York City. They have not let fashion fall by the wayside as they aged.

Both stars were dressed fashionably in white shirts and black sunglasses. Connelly accessorized her outfit with several gold necklaces. Fans noted how good the pair still looked at 51 years old as they enjoyed their walk and held hands.

Connelly and Bettany Have Been Together for 20 Years

Bettany and Connelly met in 2001's "A Beautiful Mind." However, it was only after the tragic 9/11 attacks that the couple became romantic. Bettany confessed that he realized he was in love when he was "frantically worried" about Connelly during the attacks.

The "WandaVision" star did not want to waste any time and asked Connelly to marry him before even asking her to date him. He then moved into her New York home with her, and their romance bloomed.

Just two years after they moved in together, in 2003, the couple married. Connelly had a son, Kai, from a previous marriage, whom Bettany treated as his own, and soon the pair began welcoming their own children.

Their first child, Stellan, was born in 2003, and their second, Agnes, was born in 2011. Bettany shared that he still feels young because Agnes is still young. He said he tries to help her with her schoolwork but ultimately tells her to ask her mother.

Bettany also shared his feelings about marrying Connelly and helping her raise their three children. He confessed:

"Marriage and children changed my life. It really altered who I was and what I saw as my goals."

Bettany and Connelly are both wonderful parents, but Bettany has no qualms about sharing how great Connelly is with the couple's three children. He shared a sweet anecdote about how Connelly knew what was happening with their son before he did.

He mentioned that when Stellan was a baby, he had black marks on his gums. While Bettany was horrified, Connelly reassured her husband that his teeth were simply about to come through his gums.

While Bettany believes his wife has raised such great children, Connelly has other ideas. Talking about why she thought her children got along so well, she said:

"Maybe it has something to do with the huge age gap between them, there is no competition, and they all have so much attention and focus."

She then said she had no intentions of having more children because it felt like moving an army every time the family left the house together. Kai, Stellan, and Agnes are now 25, 19, and 11, respectively.
