In 2019, Delevingne took to social media in collaboration with Dior and showed off her initials tattoo in cursive on the outside of her right hand. The 'CJD' inked lettering in black stood for her full name, Cara Jocelyn Delevingne.

The tattooed art was one of the many pieces she had done in New York City by Bang Bang NYC. The tattoo wrapped around the end of her hand and down to her middle finger. While speaking about the black serpent, she further said:

"It's about re-invention, (the) shedding of old skin, new beginnings (and) new life."

After Dr. Woo posted the snap of Delevingne's ink, one person wrote in his comments section, "I like some of his work because it's so fine and accurate." Another said, "These are so delicate."

A tattoo of a pattern popular in Thailand and Southeast Asia, Delavingne debuted one of her back tattoos at her sister's wedding. Yantra tattoos inspired the inked symbols, and her tattoo consisted of geometric shapes and patterns.

The Khmer people originally introduced Delevingne's back tattoo, which is said to have sacred meaning and bring good luck. After the Yantra tattoo, Keith "Bang Bang" McCurdy tattooed a set of eyes above the model-turned-actress's yantra tattoo.
