Zachariah Wood is the older brother of "Lord of the Rings" actor Elijah Woods, and he too is involved in the film business as an actor and a producer.

Some families seem to breed talent. Elijah Wood, famous for his role as Frodo Baggins in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, which he reprised in "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey," has an older brother.

Elijah Wood's brother, Zachariah Wood, is dashing and charming, has credits as an actor, and is a successful game producer with an impressive resumé.

Zachariah Nathaniel Wood, better known to his friends and family as Zach, was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in 1974. He is the oldest of the three Wood children. The family's life changed enormously when a talent agent spotted his kid brother, and they all moved to Los Angeles.

The Wood family is of British and Danish ancestry, but their nationality is American.

Zach also tried his hand at acting and shared his old headshots taken when he was 17 on social media. In 1992, he got a role in the series "Baywatch," in which he played a character called Gary for one episode. That was Zach's acting career because his true passion is gaming.

Zach Works as a Producer

Zach has worked for Midway Games, the company that developed games like "Mortal Kombat," "Rampage," "Cruis'n," and many more. According to Zach's social media, he is the Lead External Producer for Iron Galaxy Studios for their new 2022 game, "Rumbleverse."

Before that, Zach worked with the French video game company Arkane Studios on their "Redfall" supernatural horror game due for release in 2023. He also worked with Sony Santa Monica Studio on their "BoundPS4" and the art game, "Hohokum."

But Zach doesn't just enjoy his games in virtual reality. He revealed on Twitter that he enjoys playing ice hockey and that in 2018, he was proud to share the ice with a Redwings legend.

Zach Wood's Parents

Zach was Debbie and Warren Wood's first child. The couple lived in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and it was there that they raised their family until their younger son started modeling as a child and caught the freight train to fame.

Debbie revealed that it was important for her children to have good schools and ensure they were happy with whatever they were doing. She taught them that, above all, they need to be honest with themselves and with others.

The Wood family is of British and Danish ancestry, but their nationality is American. Zach shared a sweet throwback photo of himself as a kid from the 80s, wearing shorts, a button-down shirt, an Aran sweater, calf socks, and oxford shoes -- an ensemble he found hilarious.

Zach is the oldest of three -- his younger brother is actor Elijah Wood, and his baby sister is Hannah Wood. Elijah was born on January 28, 1981, and his sister Hannah on October 7, 1983.

Elijah started landing significant roles in movies at a very young age and was already a star at 12. By then, he had already starred in "Avalon," "Forever Young" opposite Mel Gibson, "Radio Flyer" with Tom Hanks, and "The Good Son" with Macaulay Culkin.

Elijah is Zach's only brother, though there were rumors that the actor had a twin at one time. Elijah ended up giving his sister Hannah her break, and she had a small part in "Radio Flyer" and worked as an extra in "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers."

Elijah made Zach an uncle when he welcomed his son with his longtime girlfriend Mette-Marie Kongsved. Zach is now the proud uncle of Evan Kongsved-Wood, born in 2019. Maybe Zach can take little Evan to hockey games when he is a little older and teach him to play games.
