Malcolm Ford Is Harrison Ford's Son Who Became a Musician
Malcolm Ford is actor Harrison Ford's son from his second marriage. While Malcolm tried his hand at acting, he ultimately achieved greater success in a different field within the entertainment industry.
Acclaimed actor Harrison Ford is a proud father of five children from three different mothers. Among his children, his son Malcolm Ford recently gained the most attention from fans.
Malcolm pursued the same line of work as his famous father at first, but as time went on, he was able to carve out a niche for himself in the world of entertainment.

Malcolm is now one of the sought-after musicians in the industry. Interestingly, in a 2013 interview, he revealed that he didn't grow up around music. He added:
"I didn't grow up with music in the house, like every kid had 'Blackbird' playing when they got home from school or something."
When asked what advice he would give his 16-year-old self, the singer joked that he would tell himself to find a decent job and not pursue music.

Malcolm Didn't Follow in His Father's Footsteps
Harrison and his second wife, accomplished screenwriter Melissa Mathison, welcomed Malcolm on October 3, 1987. Harrison values privacy and tries to keep his family life private.
Harrison sent Malcolm to school in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where Malcolm could have a normal childhood. Malcolm is the first of two children that Harrison had with his second wife.
Malcolm dabbled in acting, with a credit in the 2004 film "Water to Wine." But he ultimately decided to follow a different path than his famous father. Instead, he became a musician.

He fronted the successful indie band, The Dough Rollers, which collaborated with big names in the music industry like Bob Dylan, Jack White, and Queens of the Stone Age.
Malcolm wasn't the only member of The Dough Rollers with a connection to the acting world. Jack Byrne, his bandmate, is the son of actors Ellen Barkin and Gabriel Byrne.
Music was a part of Malcolm's life from a young age, and he became drawn to punk music at an early age. His first cassette tape was by the band Green Jellÿ.
In a playful moment during a 2013 interview, Malcolm quipped that if he weren't a musician, he might have turned to a life of crime or become a police officer.
Malcolm's Mother Already Passed Away
Harrison and Melissa met in 1976 on the set of "Apocalypse Now," where Melissa was a production assistant and Harrison was on the verge of getting a major role that would catapult him to fame.
At the time, Harrison was still married to his high school sweetheart, Mary Marquardt, but the couple divorced in 1979. Harrison and Melissa hit it off and started dating in 1982.
They tied the knot the following year and grew their family with the births of Malcolm and his sister. However, even the strongest relationships can be tested, and Melissa filed for divorce in 2001.

After over two decades together, the couple's marriage ended in 2004. Their divorce took three years to finalize and resulted in a settlement of $85 million. Melissa also negotiated to receive a portion of Ford's future earnings from the Indiana Jones franchise.
Melissa died at age 65 on November 4, 2015, at UCLA Medical Center after battling neuroendocrine cancer. The screenwriter left behind a stellar legacy in Hollywood.

The acclaimed screenwriter was known for her sensitive portrayal of children in films such as "E.T." and "The Black Stallion." Melissa received an Oscar nomination for her writing on "E.T."
Melissa had a deep fascination with Tibet, reflected in her work on "Kundun," a drama and history film that tells the story of the Dalai Lama's childhood and coming of age.

Malcolm's Father Gifted Him with Several Siblings
Malcolm has four siblings, including an adopted brother: Ben and Willard Ford, Georgia Ford, and Liam Ford. Three of Malcolm's siblings have become successful individuals.
Liam has been keeping a low profile as his parents wanted him to have a normal upbringing.
Ben, born in September 1967, is a successful chef and restaurateur who owns well-known restaurants in Los Angeles, California. He is also the author of the book "Taming the Feast."
Ben's brother Willard, born in May 1969, runs his own clothing company and fitness center. Both are Harrison's children from his first marriage to Mary.
Born in June 1990, Georgia earlier worked in Hollywood like her father. She appeared in films such as "The Visitor" and "True Story," but has since become inactive in the industry.

Georgia is the younger sister of Malcolm and the daughter of Harrison Ford's late wife, Melissa. Liam, on the other hand, is the adopted son of Harrison and his third wife, Calista Flockhart.
Liam has been keeping a low profile as his parents wanted him to have a normal upbringing. Not much is known about him except that he is now a full-time college student.
