"Boys Don't Cry" actress Hilary Swank has been happily married to her husband, Philip Schneider, a film writer, producer, and entrepreneur. But amid their successful careers, the private couple enjoys a sensational romance.

Their happy-ever-after began after they were set up on a blind date in 2014 by mutual friends Misha Collins from "Supernatural" and his wife, Vicki.

Thankfully something significant was achieved from the blind date. After meeting at 10:00 a.m., they grew interested in each other and spent about thirteen hours together before parting.

What came next was a relationship that lasted for nearly two years, and after then, Schneider popped the question. He asked the first-time divorcee (she was formerly married to Chad Lowe) to be his wife during a trip to Colorado.

They enjoyed an intimate ceremony with a few invitees, including family and friends, in a redwood preserve in Carmel, California, near Swank's home.

At the time, Swank was tight-lipped about the proposal until they exchanged their vows in August 2018. Following the ceremony, she gushingly revealed:

"It was timeless. There is just no other way to describe it. I was overwhelmed with such gratitude and thanks to be marrying the man of my dreams and to see all the people we love together in the middle of such a profound setting. It was truly a dream come true."

This was not the first time the tabloids would report Swank being romantically involved with a known face. Between 1997 to 2006, she was married to Lowe. After the marriage hit the rocks, the "Million Dollar Baby" dated her agent, John Campisi, for five years before falling in love with tennis player Ruben Torres.

Despite her past romances, her time with Schneider seems to be the most significant, as she has chosen to write a new chapter in her life with him.

They are expecting twins, which runs in both families, according to Swank. Coincidentally, her expected delivery date is April 16, the same date as her late father's birthday.

They are expecting twins, which runs in both families, according to Swank. Coincidentally, her expected delivery date is April 16, the same date as her late father's birthday. Speaking about her twins, she said:

"It's such a blessing. It's a total miracle. It's unbelievable."

Hilary Swank's "Magical" Home

Swank has been unapologetic about her love for animals and nature. Before expecting her twins, she nurtured and cared for about four dogs and intends to continue. Simultaneously, the "Fatale" star finds comfort in nature. But, interestingly, her preference influenced her lifestyle.

The movie star lives comfortably in her 168-acres southwest Colorado mountains home. She had hoped to build a home with high windows that would capture the magnificent view of the mountains.

However, with her husband and dogs, the family has enjoyed bliss far away from neighbors in this magical abode. In her words:

"We found this 168-acre piece of land that was just magical…It was great that we were in the middle of nature. We can't see our neighbors, no one for miles—we just had [it all] right there."

This became home to the couple after four years of acquisition. They found the land in 2016 and began working on it in 2018. Although the pandemic slowed the project, they made it into a finished home in August 2020.

The couple contracted Jodie and Bruce Wright of One Architects, Inc., for the home's stone walls. In constructing the home, they employed different materials, including stones and wood, and were conscious of environmental upcycling.

Amid the use of stones, large, immersive windows, and wood ceilings, the actress's home embodies a modern feel that is in uniform with the mountainous landscape.

It boasts unique spots like fireplaces indoors and outdoors and an open courtyard. For Swank, the best part of her house is the dining area. However, she explained that capturing the sunlight makes the home surreal. She shared:

"We watch the sunrise and it's downright magical. But I think it is sunset in the summer– when all the windows are open and you really have that in and out of nature feel—[that] is magic."

Swank and Schneider hope to raise their kids in their magical home that blends into nature, and although this would be their first time as parents, the actress seems to be prepared for motherhood. She will likely have an epic journey— appreciating nature with her happy family and dream man, far away from distractions.
