Simon Cowell's Son Gives Dad Advice after Fatherhood Became ‘The Best Thing’

Simon Cowell talked about his son before his wedding.

"Fatherhood changed my life," Simon confessed.
On December 21, 2022, Simon Cowell appeared on "Loose Women," where he discussed his son, Eric, then eight. The music mogul, then 63, shared his only child with his fiancée Lauren Silverman, then 45.
Simon revealed how independent his son was and even gave his opinions on his father's talent shows. The star shared how right Eric was and openly and continuously gave his father advice!

Judging from how outspoken the little boy was, the television personality anticipated that he knew what Eric would be when he got older! The star felt it was important that the boy remained opinionated and "his own man."
Silverman's fiancé said he watched his son when they were viewing shows together and wondered if he liked something particular, and the boy's take was usually right! The star, who'd once vowed not to marry or have children, shared how he'd arrived late to the fatherhood party.
Simon described his role as the "best thing" to have happened to him. The television personality also shared how he was finding balance in his life but becoming a father was "the best thing that ever happened to me."
The music mogul proposed to his fiancée in Barbados on Christmas Eve in 2021 with their son present. Some reports alleged that the little boy was the main character during the proposal ceremony.
When asked how he felt when Silverman mentioned them having a child, the television star said, "[Fatherhood] changed my life." Simon said he adored his son, who he described as "kind."
"He [Simon Cowell] said he wasn't involved in everything required to pull off the event.
He once made Silverman quite emotional when she spoke about something heartfelt and meaningful that he did. The way he brought up their son touched and moved her with pride.
Simon Made His Fiancée Cry from Happiness
In November 2022, Simon's fiancée presented him with the Silver Heart at the Variety Club Showbusiness Awards. During her speech, she noted his work ethic and how loving he was to their son, and holding back tears, she added:
"Simon has been teaching our son Eric the value and the importance of helping others - now I'm going to cry."
Silverman revealed how much it meant to her for their son to have a father. She also appreciated that her son from her previous marriage, Adam, has a stepfather who was an incredible role model.
In August 2022, the "Britain's Got Talent" judge revealed he was always planning his wedding day; however, he said he wasn't involved in everything required to pull off the event. He was allowing his bride to get her way.
Despite his hands-off approach, one thing he did want was to have a puppy at his wedding! Simon, who might have been inspired by the puppy present during the interview, explained how he wanted the animal to be a ring-bearer.
