Christopher Cody Rogers Is One of Kenny Rogers' Oldest Sons

Christopher Cody Rogers, Kenny Rogers' son, did not follow in his father's footsteps but joined the entertainment industry as an actor and director. He lives a private life, although his stepmother revealed his relationship status through an Instagram post in 2020.

Christopher Cody Rogers, famously known for being singer-songwriter Kenny Rogers' son, didn't get to spend as much time with his late dad.

Kenny was at the peak of his music career and touring everywhere when Christopher was born on December 4, 1981, in Los Angeles, California.

While he acknowledges his lapses as a father, Kenny knows he wouldn't have achieved success without the sacrifices he made as a dad. Despite all he had achieved as a musician, his greatest achievement in 1981 was Christopher. He said:

"Every day, I see what he's doing that he didn't do the day before. I know the hard way that we cannot recapture this age, and I'm not missing those things because I don't think I'm going to have another chance."

The artist shares Christopher with his fourth wife, Marianne, who chose their boy's name based on her love for the moniker. Marianne gave birth through a cesarean section, welcoming their son, who had a respiratory disorder.

Nevertheless, Kenny was over the moon to have a son and even distributed Hershey's chocolate bars to celebrate Christopher's arrival. Fortunately, Christopher grew up to be a healthy and successful man.

Christopher's Stepmother Revealed His Engagement

Not long after his birth, Christopher appeared on the cover of People magazine, a foreshadowing of his future career in the entertainment industry.

Christopher grew to be an actor and director known for "Loneliness," "Park," and "Two If By Sea." His mom even starred in his production, "The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw."

Although a public figure, Christopher is not one to share his personal life with the world. Not much was known about his romantic relationships until his stepmother, Wanda Miller Rogers, made a big reveal in 2020.

Through an Instagram post, Wanda disclosed that Chris was engaged to a woman named Monica Pang. She posted a photo with the couple, calling Pang her stepson's fiancée. However, only a little is known about Monica, as she maintains a private social media profile.

Christopher Had a Close Bond with His Father

Although Kenny was absent in some critical moments in Christopher's life, the father and son shared a close relationship. During the singer's last moments, Christopher often saw and checked up on him.

Although Christopher's parents' relationship did not last, his mother, Marianne, always had kind things to say about her ex-husband. "He was an incredible person," she said. "It's very upsetting when I start talking about him. For 17 of 21 years, every day, he was so sweet."

Kenny and Marianne were husband and wife for 16 years until their divorce in 1993. She still believes that they share several beautiful memories despite getting divorced. Kenny passed away on March 20, 2020. He was 81 years old.
