Daniel Day-Lewis is among the most celebrated actors of his generation, and one of his children is following in those footsteps. Debuting into the acting industry at 14, he carved a remarkable career, accumulating over 140 awards and 95 nominations.

Gabriel-Kane drew his first breath in New York City on April 9, 1995. His parents, Daniel and French actress Isabelle Adjani had been together for six years when he came into the picture; however, they separated shortly before his birth.

Their relationship was publicly known, and when news of their split broke, the media demonized Daniel for how he ended the romance. The now-65-year-old, known for sending wax-sealed letters to his former beau, broke up with Isabelle through fax.

Daniel, now married to Rebecca Miller – not Sean Spicer's Rebecca Miller – had reportedly moved on to actress Julia Roberts. Although he and Isabella were no more, he requested to be present for Gabriel-Kane's birth, which Isabelle allowed.

Reflecting on how the media reacted to his and Isabelle's separation, Daniel acknowledged how he had "failed" himself and the people he loved. However, he found the extent to which he was publicly attacked "appalling" and "hurtful."

His son grew up in Paris with Isabelle until he was 13, when he relocated to the Irish countryside and stayed with his paternal relatives. When Gabriel-Kane turned 16, he moved to New York City and stayed with his dad.

During his appearance on "An Actor Despairs," Gabriel-Kane also spoke about being accused of nepotism. He explained that despite having celebrities for parents, they only supported his endeavors if he demonstrated commitment and hard work. Still, he had to pay his own bills.

The now 27-year-old made his first screen appearances at seven years old in the 2000 films "Tangiers by Friday" and "Adolphe." He only received his third role – after six years of auditioning, as he revealed in his "An Actor Despairs" interview – in last year's Ben Shapiro film "Terrors on the Prairie."

Apart from acting, Gabriel-Kane is also a model, having worked on campaigns for Balmain and Ermenegildo Zegna. He studied music at Berklee College of Music for a short period but dropped out after the workload became too overwhelming.

Formal training may not have worked for Gabriel-Kane, but he is a self-taught guitarist, pianist, and songwriter. Some of his music from when he was younger hasn't been published, but his latest release is a 2017 single titled "Lie To Me," available for streaming on Spotify.
