"It's about this kid who's trying to figure out if there's something greater beyond us," Craig said of the story. "It's making sure that she's going to be okay in this time when she feels so alone and uncertain."

The film adaptation will follow much of the original book's storyline, where young Margaret moves into the suburbs and joins a secret club with a unique requirement for its members.
