Matteo Firth Devoted Himself to Music & Dad Colin Firth Supports Him
Matteo Firth was born to actor Colin Firth but decided to carve his own path in the music industry. Despite being an entertainer himself, Matteo enjoys living a private life.
Colin Firth is a father to talented kids, including Matteo Firth, who is making his way into the music world. Although little is known about the "Nanny McPhee" star's boy, he is not shy when it comes to his music.
Before age ten, Matteo proudly shared his music cover of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" while his brother joined him on the piano.
Matteo Firth Is the Youngest of Colin Firth's Sons
Born in August 2003, Matteo is the youngest son of Colin and his wife, Livia Giuggioli. He is of Italian, Scottish, and Ulster-Scot descent through his parents' heritage.
Matteo's parents tied the knot on June 21, 1997, and had their first child, Luca, in March 2001. Unfortunately, despite having two children, Matteo's parents separated after 22 years of marriage. The pair previously tried to reconcile but ultimately called it quits.
Despite having a broken family, Matteo's parents remained on good terms for the sake of their kids. Their talent to entertain was also passed on to Matteo. His mom and dad were actors who met while working on the series "Nostromo."
Matteo Firth Is Already Building a Musical Career
Although Matteo didn't follow in his dad's footsteps as an actor, he pursued a career in music, his interest since he was a young boy.
Matteo is one of the four band members of Strange Child, playing the drums. The band recorded its first EP in 2019 and has been booked for several events.
In 2019, his band played at The Half Moon, London, and performed at the Isle of Wight Festival for three consecutive years. Matteo's father made special appearances during all festival years to support his son and listen to the band.
Matteo Firth's Relationship with His Brothers
Matteo shares the same interest as his brother, Luca, who is also an aspiring musician. Like Matteo, Luca is a guitarist in a band that also played at the Isle of Wight Festival.
Besides Luca, Matteo has a half-brother, William Firth, born during Colin's previous relationship with Meg Tilly. Since William's parents split, he has lived with his mother in different places. Only a little was known about Matteo's eldest brother for a while.
However, William followed in his parents' footsteps and pursued an acting career. He attended East 15 Acting School in London and has since made his way to entertainment. Some of his credits include "Spider-Man," "Hope Springs," and "Bridget Jone's Baby," where he starred alongside his dad.
Although William is much older than Matteo, the siblings found common ground and spent time with each other. Matteo is also close to Luca and shares a mutual friend, Nicolo Tucci, who they cook and bond with over farm activities. Livia once shared a photo of the boys, writing:
"When Luca and Nico (and Matteo not photographed here as he was still in the fields) are not working at the farm @quintosapore they experiment in the kitchen. Here [are] their pickles with the products from the farm.”
Matteo Prefers to Live a Private Life
Glimpses of Matteo's life can only be seen through his parents' social media accounts. He remains private when it comes to personal matters despite his family's fame.
Matteo does have an Instagram account. However, his 30 posts are only available for his 1,353 friends and family. As of writing, his snapshot on the platform is with a blonde girl, suggesting he may be in a relationship.
