Aran Murphy seems destined for stardom. Not only is he the son of actor Cillian Murphy, but he has already taken his first steps into a brilliant acting career.

His dad, Cillian Murphy, has always kept his family out of the limelight, and the only reason fans know anything about young Aran, including how he looks, is because he is now a theater actor.

Aran spent most of the one hour alone on stage, and his performance was lauded by The New York Times.

Aran is Cillian and his wife Yvonne McGuinness' youngest child. Aran was born in 2007, and he has an older brother, Malachy Murphy born in 2005. Of the two, Aran is the one who inherited dad's passion for acting.

As for Aran, he was the star (at 11) of a one-person play, "Hamnet," in which he played Shakespeare's prematurely dead son, who is still searching for a connection with his famous father. In 2019, he performed in New York, Boston, and Hong Kong.

Aran spent most of the one hour alone on stage, and his performance was lauded by The New York Times, His proud dad said:

“He was so chilled about it, you know? He would come off stage and ask what the score was in the Liverpool game. And, again, you’re slightly jealous of that! There’s the danger that overanalysing everything can erode the simplicity.”

Aran's Parents Are Focused On Their Family and Children

Aran's parents first met in the late 90s, when Cillian landed his first theater role in a play, "Disco Pigs." The play was a hit, and Cillian ended up touring worldwide for the next 18 months. Cillian revealed:

"She came on tour with us. It was so exciting, 20 years ago or whatever it was — we were all just kids, trying to find our way — but such a special, special time."

Cillian and his wife have opted to live in Dublin with their children, so their children would feel Irish. The actor makes sure he never spends too much time away from home. He said of raising his sons:

"I’m a father of two teenagers, and I once was young as well so I recognise how tricky it is as a young person today in society. I think it’s a very complex time growing up, I think things are changing a lot at a very accelerated rate."

Even though he works on Hollywood films, like "The Quiet Place II," Cillian refuses to spend too much time away from his family and often takes breaks of six months to a year from his career.
