Sarah Jessica Parker, the world-renowned actress, recently opened up about aging and how she copes with it. For many people, the prospect of aging and losing their youthful looks is a daunting concept. Many companies also fuel this anxiety by portraying their models as young with perfect skin.
In response to this, Parker teamed up with Vogue and shared her view on aging. In the interview, she spoke about how she keeps her skin looking as healthy as possible. She said she prefers a simple solution to aging that leaves her feeling good about herself, and she tries to ignore all the commentary from others.

As a public figure, Parker has been scrutinized by the public throughout her life. The actress has never been one to look for every flaw in her appearance and has noticed that others care more about her looks than she does, which she found quite odd. As Sara grew older, she saw people would point out minor flaws and make a big fuss over them.

Parker has decided not to cover up her imperfections. The actress refuses to color her hair, saying it takes up too much of her time. On top of that, the actress said she prefers keeping her skin without any makeup when she's not working.
Although many people laud Parker for wearing her hair in its natural grey, she admitted she refrains from coloring it simply because doing so is a constant hassle.

Considering the amount of time actors spend working and the layers of makeup they wear, it's highly understandable that Parker prefers to keep her skin clear when she's not on set. Parker also commented that she enjoys walking around without any makeup. The actress mentioned:
"[Not wearing makeup] helps to let my skin breathe when I'm not working. The second reason is that I feel much more like myself when I'm not wearing makeup."

Parker's advice when it comes to healthy skin is two-fold. Firstly, she suggests not picking at imperfections. She uses topical solutions instead. Secondly, she takes some vitamins and eats healthily, but she highly recommends keeping things simple. She never gets carried away with products.
Natural and Beautiful Like Mom: Sarah Jessica Parker Talks About the Criticism She Endures
Although many people laud Parker for wearing her hair in its natural grey, she admitted she refrains from coloring it simply because doing so is a constant hassle. When a photo of her with grey hair spread around the internet like wildfire, people kept applauding her for not coloring her hair. She reacted:
"It became months and months of conversation about how brave I am for having gray hair. I was like, please please applaud someone else's courage on something! I can't spend time getting base color every two weeks. Can't do it. Nope. Too much. I just… don't care enough."

Although, having grey hair hasn't been all praise. Many people criticized her for showing her age. One YouTube user mentioned, "56? She looks older than my gran did at 80." Another remarked, "That photo does make her look like she's 70 though." One Twitter user commented:
"I don't understand how Sarah Jessica Parker is a spokesperson for a hair dye when she always has the worst roots EVER"

Even though people have criticized Parker for showing her age, she believes wrinkles and grey hair are nothing to scoff at. Instead, they are a mark of wisdom and experience. Parker sees her wrinkles as a sign that she is good at what she does, adding that she could not stop aging.
Parker came from a low-income family with eight children. Her mother, Barbra Forste, was a nursery school teacher, and her father, Stephen Parker, was a journalist and writer. Like her daughter, Forste wasn't afraid to be seen in public with grey hair. On multiple occasions, the mother-of-eight appeared with her daughter, flaunting her natural hair color.
