For the popular country musician Alan Jackson, very little comes close to the adoration he has for his wife, Denise Jackson. Not only has the couple known each other for years, but they have also stuck with each other through some stages in life that required real grit.

Alan and Denise met in high school. The two fell in love at a young age and married in 1979 at the age of 18. After tying the knot, they moved from their native Georgia to Nashville, so Alan could chase his dreams of becoming a country musician. Although the singer had a slow start, he and Denise stuck together.

When they arrived in Nashville, the couple had almost nothing to their name. They couldn't afford a big house, so they moved into a tiny basement apartment, where they spent the next few years. They stayed in the small apartment even when Alan released his first best-selling album, wanting to be sure he would make it.

Alan also shared his secret to a long and happy marriage.

Eventually, though, Alan became a household name in country music. After he became successful, Denise bought back the 1955 Thunderbird convertible that Alan sold to buy their first proper home. These days, the singer lives in considerably better circumstances than in those first years, having purchased a $19 million Nashville mansion.

Alan Jackson Reveals the Routine That Made His Marriage Last

Alan made a beautiful tribute to his wife on Valentine's day. The musician shared the music video of his song "Remember When" on his Instagram page. The video starts by showing Alan and Denise twirling around together before it pans to him singing about the days they spent together as youngsters.

On the night of Alan and Denise's anniversary, the couple was lucky enough to also welcome their first grandchild into the world.

Fans responded to the video, saying the song has always been one of their favorites. One Instagram user commented, "My Favorite Song ❤️❤️❤️." Another user also mentioned, "My favorite song," while a third responded to the caption, declaring they will be dancing with their husband for Valentine's:

"My Angel of a husband. Hands down. High School sweethearts since the 70's. Love you my baby Alan Twose 💖."

Alan also shared his secret to a long and happy marriage. After he and Denise separated for a year in 1997, the singer doubled his efforts to keep his marriage going. They established a routine of drinking coffee together in the morning, working on their friendship as a married couple, and going to bed together.

Alan Jackson Is Happy Grandpa

Years after falling in love, Denise and Alan are happy to say they stuck together and are now the proud grandparents of little Jackson Alvie Bradshaw. Their grandson was born to their youngest daughter, Ali Bradshaw, and her husband, Sam Bradshaw, in December 2022. Alan shared:

"Denise and I are celebrating our 43rd wedding anniversary with our new grandson Jackson Alvie Bradshaw. Ali and Sam welcomed Jack into the world on Dec 13, 2022. So happy that this little guy has made us grandparents!"

Alan's older daughter, Mattie Jackson, shared a snapshot of her with her new nephew on Instagram on January 25. In the photo, Mattie can be seen looking at the camera out of the corner of her eye while bottle-feeding little Jackson. In the caption, Mattie admired mothers and their love:

"So to all the moms - newborning, toddling, teenagering - you are a rockstar. Thank you for paving the way and inspiring me and teaching me. Such a great cloud of witnesses indeed. Keep it up, mamas!"

Besides being a granddad and raising Ali and Mattie, Alan is also a dad to Danie Grace Jackson. The 64-year-old father of three is proud to be a loving husband. He commented on keeping his marriage strong, "It's just little things I think that have helped us more than anything."
