Cheryl's son and Rodas, who was driving the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT, died from the combined effects of thermal and traumatic injuries.

Five years after her son's death, Cheryl Crabtree Walker disclosed during an interview that her son was in a good mood on the morning of his death. She said Paul and his daughter Meadow were talking about their holiday plans in her house.
