Ashley Flowers & Husband Erik Hudak Have Already Been Together for 10 Years

Ashley Flowers and her husband, Erik Hudak, announced that they were expecting their first child via Instagram in 2021 after many years together. While Ahsley Flowers has spent years in the public eye for her true crime podcast, Erik Hudak has enjoyed life out of the spotlight.

Flowers became a true crime fan favorite after launching her podcast, "Crime Junkie," in 2017. Since then, she has built an empire from her chilling cold case stories and has been in a long-term relationship with Hudak, a former Program Manager.

In 2021, Flowers announced that she would be a mother for the first time via Instagram after teasing fans about wanting children. Since the arrival of Flowers and Hudak's baby, the new parents have regularly taken to social media to document their lives as a family of three.

Ashley and Her Family Live In Her Home Town

Born and raised in Indiana, Flowers has had a fascination with true crime since she was a little girl. With dreams of becoming a detective, she studied Biomedical Sciences at Arizona State University before landing many different jobs.

In December 2017, she launched her wildly successful podcast, "Crime Junkie," which was named Ultimate Podcast by USA Today and won Best Crime Podcast at the 2021 iHeart Podcast Awards.

Following the success of "Crime Junkie," Flowers founded "audiochuck," a podcast network that features "Crime Junkie" as well as other true crime podcasts. Her bio on "Crime Junkie"'s website, in part, reads:

"Ashley works hands-on with her team to develop all aspects of the company and shows that she produces. She is also the host of several 'audiochuck' shows... While her shows draw in listeners with thrilling stories, Ashley and her team are always committed to developing responsible true crime content."

After running a successful podcast production company and writing a New York Times Bestseller, Flowers announced that she would be entering a new stage in her life—motherhood.

After teasing that she hoped to become a mother one day, Flowers confirmed that she was pregnant during an Instagram Q and A on Sunday, November 14, 2021.

She shared a picture of an ultrasound and answered the fan question, "Will you ever have a baby, Ashley?" with "She'll be here in January." Hudak also took to Instagram to share that he and his wife were expecting and, in the caption of the post, wrote:

"Ashley shared our news last night. Our little girl will be here in January. We can't wait."

Since welcoming their daughter, Flowers and Hudak often share snaps of their growing baby with fans. In September 2022, Flowers shared a host of mirror selfies with her family of three and revealed that their makeshift photoshoot was her favorite time of day.

Toward the end of January, Flowers shared a black-and-white picture of her and Hudak visibly happy with their arms in the air and captioned it, "'member when we got married? (sic)."

Already 10 Years Together

After meeting in 2012 and tying the knot in December 2017, Hudak and Ashley have celebrated six years of marriage. He often takes to Instagram to share photos of his wife, and in 2015, he posted a picture of a sleeping Flowers cuddling their dog.

At the start of 2018, Flowers shared that she was starting the new year as a new wife when she posted a snap of herself in a wedding dress.

Hudak studied at Purdue University as part of the Krannert School of Management, where he obtained his Bachelor's Degree. In 2018, he graduated with a Master's in business administration from Butler University before he became a Program Manager at Indianapolis Power and Light.

In 2021, when Hudak's career saw a change and he joined his wife's company as a Chief Financial Officer, he and Flowers joined Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, and Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz on a long list of celebrity couples who have worked together.
