The young actress has seen her career develop steadily since her appearances in "All My Children" as a five-year-old. She has continued to be cast regularly in films and television and starred alongside some of Hollywood's leading talents in the critically acclaimed "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" in 2017.

The rise in popularity due to her acting brought attention to her private life, which has seen details such as her love for golf becoming public knowledge. However, regarding her love life, the actress prefers to keep that out of the headlines and has never had a confirmed public relationship despite some rumors.

Kathryn Newton Is Keeping Her Love Life a Mystery

Newton keeps her cards close to her chest, especially regarding her dating life. The young actress has never spoken about being in a relationship with anyone, and there is no hint of her seeing someone on her social media profiles.

Even if she had been in a relationship, the people she's dating or has dated have also done well to keep the links to her under wraps, as she has only been linked with one person throughout. Still, that person denied being in a relationship with her.

In a 2019 interview with Cosmopolitan, the then-22-year-old actress confided that she had never had a boyfriend. She revealed this while speaking about the movie set of "The Society," where they were a group of young men and women with nothing to do between shoot days, but no hooking up happened.

Newton added that the idea of dating fellow actors did not amuse her. She commented on her desire to stay single, saying, "It's a bummer. Or is it a bummer? I've seen so many girls my age get their hearts broken."

Kathryn Newton Was Linked to Pamela Anderson's Son Brandon Thomas Lee, but They Both Denied the Rumors

Late in 2019, there was a rumor that Kathryn was dating Thomas Lee after the two had been seen in Santa Monica, California, enjoying some food at the Giorgio Baldi restaurant. They were joined at the table by Thomas Lee's brother Dylan Jagger Lee and mother, Pamela Anderson.

A source who witnessed their night out reported that Brandon and Kathryn looked cute together. They added that "Kathryn and Brandon sat next to each other. Kathryn looked very poised as if it was the first time she was meeting Pam."

However, both parties denied the dating allegations. Thomas Lee was the first to speak on the speculation. He pointed out that he and the "Pokemon Detective Pikachu" actress were good friends. He added that they had crazy lives and could only see each other once in a while.

About five months after the rumors broke out and three months after Thomas Lee's comments, Kathryn also brushed them off, saying they had been friends since high school.

Kathryn Newton Could Have Become a Professional Golf Player

Newton, who stars alongside Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, and Jonathan Majors in the recently released "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania," said she would have chosen to play golf professionally if she was not an actress.

Her passion for golf started at a very young age, and she has played the sport since that time. Currently, Kathryn Newton plays the sport on an amateur level but still enjoys it, and she wishes other girls would also get into it just for fun.

Her love for the sport is understandable, as she grew up on a golf course in Florida. By the time she was eight, she was competing in tournaments. While at Notre Dame High School, she won three team league championships and held the record for the school's nine-hole event at a five-under par score.

Interestingly, Newton thinks golf is more complicated than acting. She said, "I (don't) say that lightly because I have great respect for my acting and my fellow actors. When I see pros… I feel like they are magicians or something. I see a lot of similarities in the mental aspect of it, but I just think golf is so hard."
