'Pam & Tommy' Director Lake Bell Claims She Felt Very 'Protective' of Pamela Anderson's Story
Lake Bell, the star of "Bless this Mess," has recently opened up about the upcoming Hulu miseries "Pam & Tommy," which will revolve around Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee.
During an appearance at the Los Angeles Philharmonic Homecoming Concert and Gala, the actress revealed that she was asked to direct 2 of the episodes.
Bell, who attended the event with cinematographer Paula Huidobro, said that she felt "very protective of Pam's journey in it," especially since she also experienced hacking in her own life.

INVASION OF PRIVACY
Back in 2014, the 42-year-old was one of the celebrities targeted by a hacker, who stole and shared several private photos of the stars with the world.
Lily James and Sebastian Stan will play the roles of Anderson and Lee.
According to Bell, the internet is "an unwieldy kind of behemoth that can be often used for bad," describing it as "the tool of the devil," although she also recognized that it can be used for good.
Being in charge of 2 episodes, Belle stated that she wanted to make sure that Anderson was advocated for, as well as protected, in the way the story is told.

WHEN WILL IT PREMIERE
"Pam & Tommy" will have a total of 8 episodes and is scheduled to premiere in 2022, with the story focusing on the actions of a former employee, played by Seth Rogen, that impacts Anderson and Lee's lives.
It is worth remembering that Anderson and Lee's images were severely affected by the leaked sex tape that they filmed while on a boat during their honeymoon in 1995.
A LIGHTER TONE
Despite the expected drama surrounding the series, Bell guaranteed that it will be "fiercely comedic" in order to traverse the awkwardness of navigating some of the thematics.
Earlier this year, Lily James and Sebastian Stan, who will play the roles of Anderson and Lee, revealed what they will look like while playing the parts and the resemblance to the originals is striking.
While James showed off her brand new platinum blonde hair, rocking Anderson's classic black leather corset and dark lipstick, Stan's look took a lot more work.
Not only did Stan have to spend quite a lot of time sitting still while make-up artists applied tattoos on him, but he also had to rock several piercings, jewelry, eye makeup, and a goatee to play the role perfectly.
