Caleb James Goddard Is a Producer – Meet Jack Nicholson's Son He Denied
Caleb James Goddard had a tumultuous childhood and grew up with the rejection of his famous father. His mother, who is also renowned, died a few years ago. The internet was stunned to discover he was not his father's only secret child.
Caleb James Goddard was caught in a battle between his parents, Jack Nicholson and Susan Anspach. Due to their failure to see eye-to-eye, Caleb grew up without a complete family and, for a while, with a make-believe father.
Caleb was conceived by his parents in 1970, while they both starred in the 1970 movie "Five Easy Pieces" but got his last name from the man his mother married that year.

Susan was pregnant with Caleb in 1970 when she married "Lost in Space" star Mark Goddard. "Lost in Space" was based on a hit TV series and featured seasoned actors like Marina Pearl LeBlanc's father, Matt LeBlanc. Mark and Susan divorced in 1977, but their son crucially inherited Mark's last name.
Caleb's mother wrote a letter to Vanity Fair in 1994 exposing some of her grievances with Jack, and in the letter, she revealed that her son was his and not Mark's. Angered by the revelation, Jack phoned and gave Susan a vulgar piece of his mind. He mentioned that Susan and himself agreed to keep that information private.
Caleb's biological father grew up with confusion similar to his, as he was raised by his grandmother, who he thought to be his mother.

When Caleb attended Georgetown University, Jack paid his tuition fees despite the tension in his mother's relationship with Jack. The actor who supported Caleb and his mother in private once verbalized that he accepted the 53-year-old in totality.
In February this year, Daily Beast published an article revealing that Caleb was not the only one of Jack's sidelined children.
Caleb had a phone call with Jack during the public spat with Susan. While on the phone, his father spewed his dislike for his mother, adding that his reasons for fighting back were personal. Although he didn't have good things to say telephonically, Jack called Caleb his son for the first time while they spoke.
Caleb James Goddard Eventually Led a Similar Life to His Parents Career-Wise
One would think the climate around Caleb's birth and family politics contributed to his largely sheltered upbringing. He spent his entire childhood outside the spotlight, and the details about his life were mainly revealed as he grew older.
When Caleb was 25 years old, PEOPLE revealed that he became a producer and writer after completing his education at Georgetown University. The university is also the starting point of Norah O'Donnell and her husband Geoff Tracy's everlasting relationship.
Caleb followed in his parents' footsteps and entered Hollywood. He has a couple of film credits to his name: an acting credit in the TV series "The Slap Maxwell Story" and a location management credit for the 1991 movie "Guilty as Charged."
Caleb James Goddard Now Lives Privately with His Wife & 2 Kids
Caleb has distanced himself from the high-level publicity of the dramatic side of Hollywood in his older age. He married a woman named Katerine Pouget, and they have two children together—a son and a daughter whom they keep out of the limelight.
The 53-year-old often shares pictures of his children on Facebook, showing them enjoying the simplest moments together as a family. He did the same on Twitter in 2016, sharing a video of his daughter enjoying a hoverboard ride with their dog in the living room.
On another occasion, he posted a picture of himself enjoying the thrill of an amusement park ride with his children on Facebook. The post captured the hearts of his friends, who reacted to the post positively.
Caleb has a lot to celebrate with his joyful children, but he sadly mourns the loss of his mother, who lost her life to coronary failure. Caleb used Twitter to grieve his loss, writing, "I will miss you forever, Mom," in remembrance of the one parent that claimed him wholeheartedly.
He also reached out to the public, directing those who cared about the actress to Amnesty International in case they wished to make donations.
Caleb Has Another Sibling Who Was Hidden by His Father
In February this year, Daily Beast published an article revealing that Caleb was not the only one of Jack's sidelined children. A 28-year-old actress named Tessa Gourin came out of the woodwork and announced herself as Jack's hidden child. Tessa has her father's distinct features, from her crazy grin to the shape of her eyebrows.
Since her emergence, Jack is believed to have had five children with four women, but Tessa is the only one from the lot whom he has not acknowledged publicly. Tessa revealed that she has no relationship with her father and chose to stay mum about the number of years since their last conversation. She added:
"From a very young age, my mother told me not to tell anyone that I have this famous dad. I knew he was powerful and Daddy Warbucks-level rich, so I kind of equated my life to being like Orphan Annie's."

Tessa grew up in a two-bedroom apartment with her mother, Jennie Gourin, and her half-brother in the Upper East Side of New York. Her mother supported her aspirations of becoming an actress but held her back from acting as a child for reasons Tessa understands.
She became inspired to speak out while watching the social discourse about famous entertainers who push their children into productions with nepotism, yet they fall short when it is time to live up to the expectations.
She wrote an essay titled "I'm Jack Nicholson's Daughter—I Wish People Could Call Me a Nepo Baby." The title of Tessa's piece summarizes how she feels about missing out on having a decent shot at acting at all, even through nepotism.
