Ellen Pierson is a seasoned professional with decades of experience in the insurance industry. She has had a fair share of turmoil after the sad death of her husband in the early 2000s. She inherited a piece of his business which she left behind for a career in title insurance.

Ellen Pierson became relevant to pop culture when she married the late Robert Kardashian Sr in 2003, and although their marriage is no more, she still holds the Kardashian last name. Robert has married three women throughout his life, with his first marriage being the longest.

Since the vents that unfolded after Robert's untimely demise, Ellen has put a distance between herself and the spotlight, settling for a lowkey life as an insurance professional. Here are the details of the fallout between Ellen and her ex-husband's family.

Ellen Pierson Married Robert Kardashian Weeks before His Death

Ellen's marriage with Robert did not last long at all. They tied the knot just two weeks before Robert was diagnosed with esophageal cancer, raising many eyebrows as the timing of their wedding was found to be a bit suspicious. However, Ellen cleared the air by explaining the timeline of their relationship. She revealed they had been dating for five years and engaged in 2001.

Ellen dispelled the rumors and validated their wedding by saying, "We didn't just run out and get married. In fact, I met with the girls just the week before to go over all our plans. We had a beautiful wedding with the girls and all his family at our home."

The Kardashian family lost Robert just eight weeks after he received his diagnosis. His illness was undetected for too long, and he "went downhill fast" after the diagnosis.

Ellen Pierson Was Sued by Her Ex-Stepkids for Her Late Husband's Diaries

After Robert's death, Ellen got into legal trouble for alleged exploitation of private property. The Kardashian family had sued her for conversion and copyright infringement of some of the personal belongings of her late husband, including photographs that she reportedly provided the media with.

Media houses that run In Touch magazine and Life&Style magazine were privy to some of the valuable insider information presumed to be from Robert's belongings. This was a problem as her late husband clarified that most of his belongings were for his children. At the very minimum, she faced a $500,000 lawsuit from the Kardashian family with additional demands.

His will specified that his four offspring would inherit his tangible and intangible assets. This determined that Kourtney, Khloe, Kim, and Robert Kardashian Jr, had all the rights to his belongings, including actual possessions like clothing and jewelry and other property like rights to use his name, likeness, and signature. Robert had not given Ellen permission to publish the personal details that she did.

Ellen Pierson Left Her Dramatic Life Behind as She Focuses on Her Career

After Ellen's legal battle with the Kardashian family elevated and reached a settlement, she removed herself from the spotlight to focus on her career. From 2001, she worked as the director of sales at Escrow Heritage and remained at the company for the following nine years. Ellen moved to Escrow Heritage Palm Desert in the final five years of her service.

During an interview on "Ways To Love Your Money," hosted by Elisabeth Dawson, Ellen revealed that she took over Roberts's music company when he died and described that experience as "much different than real estate." She remained in that position for two years before fully joining Escrow Heritage.

For the past ten years—give or take a few—Ellen has been working in the title insurance industry again, however, more recently, at Priotiy title. She boasts over 37 years of experience in title insurance and six years of real estate experience.

Ellen Pierson Is Also a Mom of One & a Grandmother

Ellen revealed during her interview with Elisabeth Dawson that she has a daughter. It is unknown who the father of her child is, as Robert only had four children with his first wife, Kris Jenner.

Ellen had added that her daughter welcomed a couple of baby girls, making her a grandmother of two. On the other hand, the Kardashian family mourned the loss of their senior family member Arthur Kardashian—Kim Kardashian's grandfather.

The Kardashians' have also celebrated the birth of a new generation, including Khloe's daughter, True Thompson, and North West, who only knew one of her great-grandparents.
