Kelly Blatz

Lively and Penn Dayton Badgley were first rumored to be dating in 2007, but they denied their romance and said they were just friends. The "Gossip Girl" co-stars finally went public about their relationship a year later and attended the Met Gala together.

Even though the pair walked down the aisle on-screen, their romance was short-lived in real life, and the duo barely made it through "Gossip Girl" season two. According to reports, the actors ended their relationship halfway through the season but kept it a secret from the rest of the cast members.

In an interview, Lively talked about her off-screen romance with Badgley and their decision to remain friends after ending their relationship. Regardless of their lives being in the spotlight, they managed to keep things lowkey, more so at the beginning and end of their relationship.

When the pair began dating, they pretended to be friends because they were scared their romance would affect their work. But after some time, they realized their bosses wanted them to date as it was part of the storyline. After dating for three years, the duo called it quits in 2010 but did not let their break up affect their work.

The pair wanted their personal and professional lives to remain distinct, so they went mum about the breakup. The shows' co-producer and writer Joshua Safran revealed that he was shocked to discover Lively and Badgley had broken up months before while on the set of the season two finale.

Safran was still surprised at how Lively and Badgley kept their breakup hidden from the crew and how they did not want their issues to affect the show. He was also impressed at their acting skills, especially when they spent the next four seasons pretending to be in a relationship.

The same year Lively and Badgley broke up, Ryan and Johansson released a joint statement confirming they were getting a divorce.

Ryan Gosling

Lively and Gosling sparked dating rumors in October 2010 when they were spotted having ice cream together at Disneyland shortly after Lively's spit from Badgley. A few months later, the two had advanced from having ice cream to publicly displaying their affection for each other.

During Gosling's "Blue Valentine" afterparty, the pair seemed to be enjoying each other's company, and at one point, Gosling forgot to mingle with other guests. It was when Harvey Weinstein, whose company released the film, had to persuade Gosling to socialize with other VIPs.

Lively's arrival at the "Blue Valentine" premiere was surprising because she was in Paris shooting a Chanel handbag ad campaign a day before the premiere. Based on reports, a bodyguard who didn't recognize her almost denied her access to the VIP area, so she had to explain to the security guy who she was before finally making it through to meet Gosling.

The pair became the center of attention after people noticed them getting cozy. Gosling gave Lively an affectionate touch on her knee while the actress gazed at him with smoldering eyes. Later in the evening, when the "Blue Valentine" star rose from his seat, Lively grabbed his hand and whispered something that made Gosling sit back down.

After the event, the duo made separate exists and were later spotted having dinner at the Standard Grill in the company of two more people. This was the second time the two were seen in public. When their publicists were contacted, none responded on the matter.

However, according to Gosling's friend, the two had been out several times and were into each other, but he didn't think they were serious. He added that Lively and Gosling were casually dating, but he could see it becoming more. After some time, the dating rumors dwindled.

Leonardo DiCaprio

Lively's relationship with legendary actor Leonardo DiCaprio made headlines even though it lasted a few months. The pair had a whirlwind romance in the summer of 2011 when they were spotted vacationing in Europe, Australia, and NYC.

But their relationship was short-lived, and the two finally went their separate ways in October 2011. Their reps confirmed the breakup and stated that Lively and DiCaprio had agreed to remain friends. At one point, Lively would send the "Titanic” star photos of things to remind him of her.

Safran revealed that while on the set of "Gossip Girl," Lively had a doll that she took photos of to send to DiCaprio. Safran added that back then, when Instagram didn't exist, Lively documented her life in photographs, and only a few people were doing that.

Ryan Reynolds

Lively and Ryan Reynolds are among Hollywood's most beloved couples. The lovebirds have a healthy and perfectly balanced relationship. Besides thriving in their acting careers, the pair are also parents to four children.

The lovebirds' love story began in 2011, and after dating for a year, they tied the knot. While some of their fans thought it was a rushed decision, the two had been friends for a while and could no longer deny their chemistry.

Eleven years later, Ryan and Lively remain a happy couple and share three children: James, Betty, and Inez Reynolds. Lively and Reynold haven't shared the name and gender of their youngest child, whom they welcomed recently.

The pair met through work when they starred in the 2011 action/sci-fi film "Green Lantern." Though they didn't date then, they became good friends. At the time, both were in other relationships. Lively was dating Badgley while Ryan was married to "Black Widow" actress Scarlett Johansson—they appeared together for the first time in 2010 in San Diego.

The same year Lively and Badgley broke up, Ryan and Johansson released a joint statement confirming they were getting a divorce. The two stated that after much consideration, they had mutually agreed to end their marriage.

The pair said that even though they began their relationship with love, they ended it with kindness and concluded the statement by asking for privacy from the public.

When Lively and Ryan walked the red carpet at the "Green Lantern" premiere on June 15, 2011, they were not dating. At the time, Lively had been romantically linked to DiCaprio.

The couple began dating shortly before Halloween in the fall of the same year. Based on reports, Lively was spotted leaving Ryan's apartment in Boston early morning after his birthday weekend. A close source to Ryan and Lively confirmed that they were happy together.

A few months into their relationship, Lively began to meet Ryan's family. The two were spotted in Ryan's hometown Vancouver holding hands while walking on the streets.

The pair finally tied the knot on September 9, 2012, in a small intimate wedding ceremony and have been growing strong ever since.
