Danny Trejo Shares Rare Photo with Sons in Celebration of National Son's Day

While most people celebrate National Son's Day once a year, famous actor Danny Trejo revealed that in his house, the sentiment holiday comes around every day. The father of multiple children, Danny Trejo has three sons— one of whom followed in his footsteps.

On March 5, Danny took to Instagram to share a throwback of two of his three sons in honor of Nation Son's day. The actor had his eldest son at his side while his younger son was still a baby, swaddled in a sky-blue stroller.

"They tell me it was National Son's Day yesterday, but in our house, it's every day! Me and my sons," Danny captioned the post, which received over fifteen thousand likes at the time of writing.

Danny Boy, Danny's eldest son, was born in 1981. He had over a thousand followers on Instagram at the time of writing, and a few of his posts featured his famous father.

Danny's middle son, Gilbert, is the most well-known of his siblings as he followed in his father's footsteps and pursued a career in the film industry. He had nearly sixty thousand followers on Instagram at the time of writing, and his account documented his goth style.

Gilbert and Danny Boy Are Two of Many Children

Born in Los Angeles, Gilbert is not only an actor but a writer, producer, and director as well. In 2020, he shared the screen with his famous father when he wrote, produced, directed, and starred in "From A Son." He has several other projects under his belt such as "Black Licorice," which also featured his dad.

One of five children his father welcomed during different relationships, Gilbert Trejo has two sisters— Danielle, born on June 14, 1990, and Esmeralda. Very little is known about Esmeralda and Danny's youngest son, Jose, as they steer clear of the limelight.

In 2023, the famous father of five filed for bankruptcy; however, Danny revealed that it was not because he did not have money. He owed over $2 million and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy to reorganize his assets and help him out of the financial hole he had found himself in.

Danny Trejo shared that he had wound up in his predicament after mistakenly claiming deductions over the years. Aside from acting, Danny is an entrepreneur and owns his record label, coffee and donuts shops, and his famous Trejo's Tacos. His bankruptcy filing did not affect his other businesses.
