Marshall Williams Manning arrived in his father NFL heavyweight Peyton Manning's life just as he made a significant transition in his career. A few years later, Marshall's dad would retire, and the youngster would take the football baton, following in his footsteps.

Former quarterback Peyton Manning and his wife of over two decades welcomed two children into their union, but the couple guarded their offspring against the spotlight. Among those kids is rising football star Marshall Williams Manning.

Only a year after Marshall was born, his dad left the Indianapolis Colts after 14 years to play for the Broncos in Denver, Colorado. Peyton was the first to relocate to focus on football training, while Marshall and the rest of their family would join later.

The Mannings led a private life in Indianapolis and maintained that privacy after moving to Denver. However, as Marshall grew older, he started making public appearances alongside his dad, showing a keen interest in sports and, much to Peyton's dismay, other football players.

Marshall Williams Is One of Peyton's Twins

Marshall drew his first breath in Indianapolis on March 31, 2011, born to Peyton and his wife, Ashley Manning. He's a fraternal twin alongside his sister Mosley. He arrived only ten days after his cousin Ava, born to his uncle, another former NFL star, Eli Manning.

Marshall made a significant impact on his dad's life, who regarded him and the rest of his family as his "good luck charms." Besides bringing much joy into the Manning household, his and his sister's arrival was a "blessing in disguise," as Peyton explained:

"I think about the year they were born and all that was going on with my injuries and it was the ultimate blessing in disguise. They came into my life at the time I needed them the most [...]."

The former Broncos quarterback retired in 2016, with little Marshall at his side as he made the announcement. And although he was one of the most prominent players of his time, Marshall didn't idolize him as much as the father of two would have liked.

Speaking with Kelly Clarkson on "The Kelly Clarkson Show" in 2021, Peyton revealed that Marshall was a big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and, more so, the team's quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Marshall even dons the Chiefs jersey on family trips, as Peyton joked:

"It's very humbling having to ski with a Chiefs jersey right next to you, but since I'm related to the kid, I feel like I have to do it."

As a Bills flag football team member (coached by Peyton), Marshall is also a fan of Josh Allen, quarterback of the Buffalo Bills. He even wears a J. Allen jersey during training, which his dad humorously took to heart.

Marshall Seems to Follow in Dad's Athletic Ways

In January this year, Marshall and Peyton attended the game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants in Philadelphia before heading to Orchard Park the following day. There, they enjoyed another match between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Buffalo Bills.

Marshall supported the home teams for both games, donning their jerseys during each game. The NFL also caught Marshall and his dad for photos at both events, sharing them on the Twitter page.

Marshall Showed Off His Skills at the Pro Bowl

Just last month, the 11-year-old went viral after his dad shared a video of him making about a 10-yard pass to former linebacker Ray Lewis and former tight end Marcus Pollard. It equated to approximately a 20-yard pass on the Pro Bowl 50-yard field.

In the clip, Ray and Marcus were goofing around while a grinning Marshall waited to throw the ball. Afterward, Ray complimented the youngster, who's had the privilege of being trained not only by his dad but other NFL heavyweights.
