Jaclyn Smith is making the best of life after work. The "Charlie's Angels" star honed her decorative eye after buying herself a home with the money she made from starring in all five seasons of the hit action TV show. The actress redesigned the Georgian colonial home's entire interior, giving it a stylish new look.

Jaclyn bought the house in the 90s. At the time, the actress was still married to her previous husband, Tony Richmond, and the couple shared two children, Gaston Richmond and Spencer Margaret Richmond. Jaclyn recalled that although she had more funds, she could only afford a home that still needed some work.

The actress pooled her resources and found the perfect property, with enough money left over to turn the house into her dream home. The proud new homeowner scoured every store she could, looking for vintage furniture that matched her vision for her abode. Funnily enough, fixing the place up turned out to be immensely enjoyable.

Jaclyn's love for her grandkids knows no bounds.

Despite her clear-cut idea of what the house should look like, the actress allowed her children to decorate their own rooms. Jaclyn thought it would be better if her children's rooms "reflected their tastes," since it was their private spaces. She didn't mind that their rooms didn't fit with the house, preferring to give her kids autonomy.

After her marriage with Tony failed, the actress moved on with Dr. Brad Allen. The pair said their vows in 1997 and have stuck with each other ever since. Even Jaclyn's kids get along swimmingly with Brad, and Jaclyn noted that he loves them like his own. With Brad by her side, the actress feels "loved and protected."

Jaclyn's love for her grandkids knows no bounds. The actress shared that having grandkids added a whole new facet to her life. She mentioned that her grandkids truly put things in perspective for her because they made her look far beyond herself. The actress opened up about being a grandmother:

"The love that you have for your children, it's like 'Oh my God. But this is even bigger — there are no words.' I was thrilled to become a grandma."

With Spencer Margaret's husband, Fran Kranz, spending much of his time working in New York, the doting grandma has ample opportunity to fuss over her granddaughter Bea. Jaclyn will soon have another go at being a grandma at the age of 77. It recently became known that her daughter-in-law, Bonnie Lane, is pregnant with a second child. In a recent Instagram post, Jaclyn and Bonnie were shown at a baby shower. Bonnie flaunted her baby bump, and the two smiled happily, seemingly in anticipation of the new family member.

The actress also said the news shook her mother the most.

Jaclyn also posted a photo showing her, Bonnie, Gaston, and Gaston's business partner, Chris Deatherage, and his wife posing for a picture. The group posed together in Gaston and Chris' restaurant, The Local Cut. Bonnie commented on the post, "Your support means everything to us ❤️."

How Did Jaclyn Manage to Keep Her Youthful Look after Cancer?

Seeing her grandkids grow up means the world to Jaclyn, since, at one point, she thought she might not. The actress went public with her breast cancer diagnosis in 2002. Although she has since beaten the disease, she remembered how her blood froze after hearing the news. Jaclyn recalled:

"My first question was, 'Will I be here for my children?' And he said, 'Absolutely. You got this early, we'll take care of it.' Did it affect our whole family? Yeah. They were in denial. I looked like the healthiest person in the world."

The actress also said the news shook her mother the most. It was strange to think that her daughter was the one with the life-threatening disease while she had largely kept her health as she grew older. Relief came as they researched treatments and realized medical technology had advanced sufficiently to deal with the disease.

The actress mentioned she was lucky to have a friend who had survived breast cancer with her throughout the entire ordeal. Jaclyn took her friend with her to every doctor's appointment, and without the camaraderie and support, she doubted whether she would have dealt with the diagnosis the way she did.

Jaclyn used her experience with cancer to start businesses and initiatives aimed at empowering other women. The actress partnered with Sears to create an affordable clothing line that helps women feel and look their best. She believes that women feel confident when they look good, which often translates into other facets of their life.

Jaclyn also shares her workout routines with her followers on Instagram. In January, the actress shared a video showing how she keeps her arms and abs firm. The workout requires a partner and a weight attached to a resistance band. Jaclyn held this in her hand and rotated her body. She also held the weight while drawing her arm in from her side.

People are often in awe when they find out Jaclyn is 77, with many commenting that she looks much younger. One user commented on a photo of Jaclyn with Joan Collins, in awe of how youthful she still looks without botox. They wrote, "How do you keep looking 30? Wow."
