Veteran actress Jamie Lee Curtis geared up for the 95th Academy Awards as a first-time nominee and planned on going along with her beloved husband, Christopher Guest.

"I'm bringing my husband. I'm forcing him to go with me. Poor guy," she said. Curtis revealed Guest played an integral role in encouraging her to accept the gig for the film – which received several nominations at this year's Oscar Awards.

They shot the film in Los Angeles, and Curtis previously shot her "Halloween" movies in three other locations, including Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

She admitted that if "Everything Everywhere All at Once" had been filmed in Georgia, she would probably not have accepted the job. Thankfully, the location was close to home, and she agreed to be a part of it.

For the 2023 Oscars, Curtis and her husband, Guest, stepped out for the red carpet while dressed up for the occasion. She donned a rhinestone-covered champagne Dolce & Gabbana dress and accessorized with pendant earrings. Meanwhile, Guest wore a traditional black bow tie tuxedo suit.

She credited fans who have "supported" her films throughout her career and stated, "we just won an Oscar together." The win is significant for the producer as her parents, Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis, were each nominated for an Oscar in different categories but never won.

Following her victory, she continued celebrating the achievement at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Curtis posed for snapshots while lounging by the poolside while there.

In addition to her Oscar win and a broken leg, Curtis has a successful marriage spanning three decades. She and her husband, Guest, revealed the secret to their long-lasting marriage in February 2021. She said:

The "Freaky Friday" star explained that it is normal for both parties to feel like exiting the relationship sometimes when upset. "If you're telling me anybody who's been married for a long time hasn't thought, 'I hate them, I want out,' of course they have! I believe if you stay on the bus long enough, the scenery will change.

Guest joked: "It depends on what bus!" while she continued, "I think it's crucial to put yourself in the path of love." Curtis revealed she gave Guest's agent her contact details, but he never called her. They bumped into each other at a restaurant, and only then, he decided to call her the following day.

"I put myself in the path of it because I believed in that my whole life," she said," adding she and the screenwriter now have a "beautiful" life together. Curtis also revealed she has a company called My Hand In Yours and shared that at age 64, she is "as creative" as she has ever been.

Not to say everyone should pretend not to care about what is happening around them but to catch a break. The producer stressed the importance of balance in one's life to avoid going "crazy."
