Sharon Stone Is Said to Be 'Very Lucky to Still Have' Her Mother as the Two Pose for a Cute Pic

In a recent Instagram post, Sharon Stone shared a picture of her and her mother after the actress paid her mom a visit. In the past, Sharon Stone has opened up about her mother's health problems after she suffered multiple strokes, which runs in the family.

On March 22, Sharon and her mother sat side by side as they wore smiles and posed for the camera. The actress captioned the Instagram post, "Visiting mommy," and paired her blue jeans and grey coat outfit with a black leather bag. On the other hand, her mom went for a more chic look as she rocked a leopard-printed scarf.

The post received nearly 27, 000 likes at the time of writing, and one social media user commented, "You are very lucky to still have your mother." In the past, Sharon has opened up about her mother's health problems after the actress's mom suffered multiple strokes.

In 2021, Sharon took to Instagram to share that her mother had had "another" acute stroke and accompanied a smiling picture of her mom with the caption, "Say a prayer for Dorothy Marie Stone, my mom, who has suffered another acute stroke tonight. Thx (sic.)"

While Sharon has not shared how many strokes her mother has had, her family's history with brain-aging diseases inspired the actress to advocate for greater awareness. "This is why I do it: My mother had a stroke. My grandmother had a stroke. I had a massive stroke — and a nine-day brain bleed," Sharon revealed following her mother and grandmother's strokes in 2019.

In September 2001, Sharon was hospitalized for a stroke and took a two-year break from acting and seven years to recover fully. However, in an Instagram post, Dorothy Marie appeared to be in better spirits as she enjoyed her friends' company over lunch.

The "Sliver" star posted a photo of her mom donning a blue sweater and shades as three friends hugged her. "When you are raised by wolves, you rise like a wolf," Sharon captioned the post in part.

In 2023, the stone family took to social media to share more updates on Dorothy. In February, Sharon's sister posted a picture of their 90-year-old mom almost two years after one of her strokes in black sunglasses and hugging a younger man. Sharon Stone's sister captioned the post, "Best kickoff to my birthday weekend, mommy & the face."
