Goldie Hawn Called a 'Whole Different Person' on Date with Kurt Russell - He Loves Her as She Is after Meeting at 16

Goldie Hawn shocked fans with her appearance during her last public appearance with her husband, Kurt Russell. The actors had a date, and Russell was gallant and well-behaved as usual. The pair have loved each other for almost all their lives and are happy together. Hawn's partner accepts and supports her in everything and the way she is.

Hollywood couple Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell initially crossed paths in 1966 on set as they filmed the live-action movie musical, "The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band."

However, they started dating 15 years later, even though they told themselves they would not pursue romantic relationships with fellow actors.

The duo has a six-year age difference, and Hawn recalled how they first met during a 2012 interview. She was 21, and he was only 16 years old:

"I thought he was adorable, but he was much too young. And then years later, we met up again, and I liked him and I remembered that I liked him very much when I first met him."

The lovebirds' romance began with a somewhat awful pickup line after Russell had a wild night and had to read lines with Hawn the following day at an audition.

The actor admitted to having a bad hangover and did not know much about the actress other than their previous work relationship from the years prior. He recounted during an interview with Conan O'Brien:

"[Goldie] had a great body, and so the first thing that came out was, 'Man, you got a great figure.' [..] And she said, 'Why, thank you.'"

The couple went to see a World War II movie called "Swift Shift," in which they co-starred in 1984. In the film, Russell played the trumpet and recalled the events on that day during an appearance on "Harry" in April 2021.

He remembered telling Hawn that because she is a professional dancer and they wanted to do the dance, they had to go to a place where they would enjoy it.

Hawn suggested they go someplace else to dance, and he said he would find a particular place, which in this case, was the Playboy Club which had the type of music they wanted.

Upon arrival, he realized that he was having a good time with the blonde beauty, and they both decided the night was still young and ended up at a home she had recently bought to renovate.

They went upstairs, where they ended up having sexual intercourse. Police reported to the residence because they had broken in to access the place, which made Russell laugh as he remembered the experience during the interview.

As awkward as it was, they continued their date somewhere else and went to the hotel, and the "Fate of the Furious" star described the experience as a blast. Following their eventual first date, the pair fell madly in love. Hawn, a Washington native, gushed about her first impressions of the Massachusetts native:

"He was so good-looking, but he had no pretense about him. I could tell right away he wasn't a womanizer."

From that point, Russell and Hawn's romance started to blossom, especially after she saw how he interacted with her kids, daughter Kate and son Oliver Hudson, from her previous marriage. She said:

"He was amazing with them. He was such a natural."

Still Going Strong After 40 Years

Hawn and Russell's relationship has been going strong for 40 years despite never getting married. The pair stepped out on March 31, 2023, for dinner with Russell's eldest son, Boston, in Santa Monica.

The trio was spotted at Giorgio Baldi, a well-known establishment in the Los Angeles neighborhood. During their time together, Hawn and Russell have stressed the importance of family and spending quality time with loved ones.

Before being seen at the luxury family-run restaurant near the ocean, they pulled up in their vehicle outside the eatery. When photographers identified the couple, Hawn was pictured smiling just before they parked their car.

Her beloved significant other led the way toward the entrance doors donning blue jeans, a black jacket with a matching shirt, and slip-on loafers.

Meanwhile, his love sported a casual look, wearing an all-black outfit of pants, a top, and a long sweater coat. Like her partner, Hawn also opted for black loafers and wore her long locks downs.

The Oscar Award winner's stepson, Boston, followed close behind, wearing a white and gray-patterned coat while entering the restaurant.

Following the dinner, his father was pictured showing his gentleman side by opening and holding the door for Hawn after paying the valet.

While it seems that the family enjoyed their evening, fans could not help but notice Hawn's physical features and blasted her online.

A third individual said they found it hard to believe it was on Hawn in the pictures. "Yeah, she looks like a different person," a fourth user stated in agreement.

A fifth person exclaimed, What has she done to herself!" While a sixth person commented, "Goldie, who? Too many procedures, Goldie."

One person wrote that Hollywood's leading lady went to extreme lengths to get work done on her face, adding she was an attractive woman before but that her natural looks have since faded. "Her looks are too fake looking. It's such a shame." Another user penned, "Another plastic story."

Despite being criticized by some fans, others begged to differ concerning Hawn's appearance. "She's still absolutely stunning," said one person.

Another complimented the "Snatched" star and her boyfriend, writing, "Love these two, amazing couple. I think he was so handsome and she's utterly beautiful."

Hawn & Russell Say Marriage Is Not in the Cards for Them

Despite spending decades together, Hawn and Russell are not husband and wife. Throughout the years, they have been consistently asked why they never wed.

Hawn addressed the famous question in one of the interviews dating back to 2015. She appeared on "Loose Women" and told the panel on the ITV daytime show that she and Russell would have divorced a long time ago had they given marriage a chance.

"Marriage is an interesting psychological thing. If you need to feel bound to someone, then it's important to be married," she said. According to the producer, if one is independent, self-sufficient, and enjoys independence, one will choose to stick to that. Hawn added being unmarried gives one the freedom to make their own choices:
