Maya Erskine is engaged to her potential future husband, Michael Angarano. They made their relationship public in September 2019.

"[O]hhh look who it is sitting right behind me completely randomly at an awards show in which we were both nominated who i also happen to be in love with."

Since that moment, the couple has been seen together more frequently. They occasionally post each other on their social media platforms, attend many award shows arm-in-arm and walk the red carpet together.

Angarano is a native of New York, where he was born on December 3, 1987. Despite not being one of the biggest names in Hollywood, he has been in and around the Showbiz industry for almost three decades and has been in over 70 productions. His first appearance was as David Duchovny's son on "Saturday Night Live" in 1995.

In 2000, he was in "Almost Famous" starring Kate Hudson, and in 2005, he played one of the lead roles in "Sky High" alongside Kurt Russell and the late Kelly Preston. Three years later, he featured in "The Forbidden Kingdom" with Jet Li and Jackie Chan in the lead roles. He played Cyrus Kinnick in "Wild Card," starring Jason Statham.

Erskine and Angarano were very private about their relationship when they first began dating. No publicly available information explains how they met or how their relationship developed. However, in late 2019, the pair seemed to have been in love for quite some time.

The following year in November, the couple made a double announcement when Angarano revealed that they were expecting and were engaged via his Instagram page. The post with the great news included a picture of the pair and Erskine sporting a baby bump.

After their late 2020 announcement, Angarano and Erskine became parents for the first time when they welcomed their son, Leon Frederick, in May 2021. Hollywood personalities, including Emily Osment, Brenda Song and Angarano's "This Is Us" co-star, Mandy Moore, celebrated the news of his birthday.

Erskine said she learned about the pregnancy at Angarano's parents' house in July. She broke the news to her closest people after a doctor had confirmed it.

Erskine continued to work after giving birth. During those days, she was starring in season two of the cringe comedy show, "PEN15." "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" starman Andy Samberg was an executive producer on the show.

A photograph shared by her fiancé showed the actress breastfeeding in between setups during an episode she was directing. He praised her, saying, "[Y]ou are incredible as an actor, a writer, a showrunner, a director, and a mom. [W]e love you and are so grateful for you in our lives (I'm speaking on mine and Leon's behalf)."
