Mariska Hargitay Is Called 'SVU Queen' as She Celebrates 'Last Day of #svu24'

In a recent Instagram post, Mariska Hargitay bid farewell to "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" after filming its final season with a caption about gratitude. Hargitay dedicated another sweet message to the show's crew, and fans showered the actress with sentimental comments.

After 24 seasons, "Law & Order: SVU" wrapped up its final season, and Hargitay commemorated the occasion with a throwback picture and a sentimental caption that read, "Current #mood Last Day of #svu24 feeling incredibly grateful, and so proud of the work that we have done as a team and the stories we've told. Can't believe we are here. Profoundly grateful to be on this journey #squad #finishline #marathon (sic)."

She also paid tribute to the crew of "Law & Order: SVU" with a picture of some of them and shared, "THANK YOU to the (best dressed) SVU CREW (not all pictured here) for your spirit, artistry, collaboration, dedication, craftsmanship, expertise and—most of all—your kindness. There is no show without you. You have my deepest gratitude and respect. Mahalo, for reals #BestCrewEver (sic)."

However, in the comments section, fans showered the actress with praise, with one fan writing, "YOU are SVU Queen! I'm so thankful for you, and for the journey we take together every week. You don't know me, but you and your grace and determination, and compassion have save me many, many times. Sending love. Namaste (sic)."

"Many congratulations, Mariska!! Much love to you," another fan shared, and a third typed, "24 years of being it total service. I love you so much (sic)." "Thank you for your dedication to your craft and the level of excellence you set and achieve. Congratulations to you and your hardworking and kind team," a fourth fan commented, and a fifth added, "A legend on and off the screen."

For the show's finale, "Law & Order: SVU" alumni Kelli Giddish returned and reprised her role as Amanda Rollins alongside Mariska Hargitay's character, Olivia Benson, and Christopher Meloni's character, Elliot Stabler.

Giddish had a co-starring role on "Law & Order: SVU" for 12 seasons before she left and said, "Playing Rollins has been one of the greatest joys and privileges of my life. I've been so fortunate to be a part of the "Law & Order: family for the last 12 years." On April 18, Hargitay posted one last post about the final season of "Law & Order: SVU" and shared a picture of the number 24 with the caption, "That's a wrap on..." with a black heart.
