Does Sasheer Zamata Have a Partner? She Has a Matching Tattoo but Not with a Boyfriend
Multi-talented star Sasheer Zamata once had a romantic partner she tried to "fix." After trying her luck on dating apps, she prefers meeting a potential lover in person.
Sasheer Zamata is an actress who starred in the 2020 thriller movie, "Spree," and also appeared in the Hulu comedy series, "Woke," which ran for two seasons from 2020 to 2022.
When speaking about the show, which humorously focused on race and art, she said she enjoyed being a part of the cast because it allowed her to talk about thorny subjects that people might be afraid to discuss on-screen.
Zamata is also a former "Saturday Night Live" comedian. When the Japan-born star is not acting or doing stand-up specials, she co-hosts a podcast called "Best Friends," alongside her actual best pal, Nicole Byer.
The TV star candidly shared interesting facts about herself during an interview in September 2020 and revealed she loves roller skating. "My new passion. I love it," she said. She also enjoys pole dancing: "Another thing I’ve become obsessed with. I love pole dancing."
Sasheer Zamata Had a Boyfriend She Tried to Fix
Sasheer Zamata currently has a stint in the TV sitcom, "Home Economics," where she plays a teacher. The show has been running since April 2021.
The Hollywood star's role is that of Denise, who is Sarah Hayworth's wife. She plays a member of the LGBTQ+ community in both "Home Economics" and "Woke" but has not opened up about her sexuality in real life.

The "Sleight" star said it is refreshing to see women portraying more riveting roles on screens by "choosing who they get to be with." Zamata looks forward to seeing more of such storylines on-screen and participating as well. She expressed:
"I'm excited for women falling in love with women or men falling in love with men."
Fellow actor Christopher Meloni played such a role in the drama, "Oz." Zamata mentioned there should be more queer romantic comedies, adding that she is confident more of such stories will be told soon.
As for her love life off-screen, Zamata revealed in 2020 that she had a boyfriend whom she had been with for two years. She admitted relationships were not easy, and she was aware they need a lot of effort to be successful, adding:
"But I feel like I'm doing most of the work because I'm fixing him. And I don't want to be one of those girlfriends that will be like, 'I need to change my man. I need to fix him.' Because I love him the way he is but everything he does is wrong, and I need to change him."
Sasheer Zamata Doesn't Like Dating Apps Because She Prefers to Meet in Person
Presently, Sasheer Zamata is reportedly single. She has tried dating apps, including OkCupid, but she stopped using the app after recognizing a few people from the comedy industry. Zamata found it "weird" to see familiar faces and decided to meet someone special in person instead.
She believes that with the current dynamic of people being on their phones all the time, there is a need for human interaction. Although dating online did not work for her, it certainly turned out well for fellow actress, Gabourey Sidibe, who got married to a man she met on a dating app.
Moreover, Zamata also has strong opinions on womanizers, saying it is a shame that there are many of them in society because men have not been held accountable for their actions.
"Who needs them? They just take up space and time. That is not something that I or anyone else needs to spend my energy on, because I can’t wait for these people to grow up," she stated.
Sasheer Zamata Has a Matching Tattoo With Her Best Friend
Much like the "It Chapter Two" star Sophia Lillis, Sasheer Zamata has no boyfriend. However, the comic has a beloved best friend, Byer; she and her companion have matching tattoos, which they got in Austin, Texas.
Zamata once revealed, "We have matching tattoos; it says, 'Goodnight, world.'" Hers is on her calf, and Byer's ink is on her arm.

The dynamic duo used to say that to each other when saying goodbye on the phone. Byer and Zamata had a long-distance friendship as they lived in different cities. "We would say, 'Goodnight, world. Goodnight, Nicole.' And she would say, 'Goodnight, world. Goodnight, Sasheer,'" she revealed.
Funny enough, after getting inked, they forgot how to recite their goodbyes, the word order, and the cadence in this instance. Nonetheless, Zamata noted Byer is the only person she has a matching tattoo with, which will never change.
