Busy Philipps' daughter, Birdie Silverstein, may be all grown up, but the actress proved that the teenager— who came out as gay and uses they/them pronouns— is her lookalike "baby" in a recent Instagram post.

On April 18, Busy shared a photo of herself holding her daughter in her arms as she looked sweetly at the teenager. "Still my baby," she captioned the post, which had over 14,000 likes at the time of writing. However, in the comments section, fans couldn't help but notice the striking resemblance between the mother-daughter duo.

"You are looking at your younger self," one fan shared, and another commented, "Basically holding yourself." The sentiment also echoed in another comment, "For a moment, I thought you were holding yourself, and it was some kind of trick picture." A fourth added, "She looks exactly like you."

The actress and her screenwriter husband, Marc Silverstein welcomed Birdie in August 2008, a year after they tied the knot. Their daughter came into the world weighing 9 pounds and 7 ounces and continued the Philipps family tradition of having a fun and unique name.

Although Busy was heavily pregnant and expecting her first child, she showed no signs of slowing down professionally and filmed a guest appearance on Fox's "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles." In 2020, during an episode of her podcast, "Busy Philipps Is Doing Her Best," Busy revealed that Birdie was 10 when she came out as gay.

"For those of you who are my friends listening at home, this is the first you're hearing that Birdie is gay and out," Philipps told her cohosts Shantira Jackson and Caissie St. Onge. "Birdie told us at ten years old, and we immediately... I mean obviously, I knew that Birdie knew," Busy said.

Birdie also shared that they preferred they/them pronouns; however, their famous mom admitted to having a difficult time remembering to use her daughter's preferred pronouns. "I'm trying my best at that," Busy explained.

A few years after Birdie Silverstein was born, their mom gave birth to their younger sister, Cricket Pearl Silverstein. The actress and her husband had a list of baby girl names on standby, but once their bundle of joy was born, they knew the names wouldn't do.

It wasn't until the hospital came looking for an official name for their newborn that Marc came to the rescue and used his experience with naming characters to come up with the name Cricket. "A lot of times your name dictates the kind of personality you have, and [Marc's] like, 'Everyone likes Cricket, Cricket is just the greatest, happiest kid on the block," Busy explained.
