Katharine McPhee Flaunts Her Curves in Cut-Out Black Dress at Sofia Richie’s Wedding
Katharine McPhee was one of the many stars at Sofia Richie's wedding and wowed in a black gown that accentuated her fit physique. After struggling with weight gain during her pregnancy, the singer revealed that she found "peace" and accepted her new body after welcoming her son.
In a recent Instagram post, Katharine stunned in an off-the-shoulder, floor-length, figure-hugging black gown that had cutouts by the abdomen for a chic edge. "A European whirlwind," she captioned the post, documenting her trip to the South of France for Sofia Richie's star-studded wedding.
Katharine oozed elegance as she paired her gown with gold jewelry and a slick ponytail and leaned against a light gray vintage car as she posed for the camera. In the photo dump, Katharine wore a smile in a photo with her famous husband, David Foster, who matched his wife in a classic black tuxedo and bow tie.
The singer also shared glimpses of Sofia's Parisian wedding at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc and the scenic views France had to offer. Katharine also managed to include photos of Sofia's famous father, Lionel Richie, and a selfie of her and actor Michael Cain.
Before attending the highly anticipated French wedding, Katharine wowed as she and her husband walked the red carpet at the Breakthrough Prize ceremony, honoring advances in science and mathematics.
She paired her red, strapless ballroom gown with matching red heels and tied the look together with a sparking diamond necklace. Unlike at Sofia's wedding, Katharine opted to let her brunette locks down for the Breakthrough Prize ceremony but looked equally breathtaking.
Katharine McPhee Is Now More 'at Peace' With Her Body After Giving Birth to Her Son
After welcoming her first child, son Rennie, with David Foster, Katharine revealed that she had a love-hate relationship with pregnancy, more specifically, with gaining weight. The singer struggled with an eating disorder before becoming a mother that resurfaced during her pregnancy.
However, after giving birth to her bundle of joy, Katharine McPhee experienced the "gift" of accepting and loving her body, with no rush to get back to a "certain standard" and allowing herself to enjoy motherhood and her new baby.
"What I didn't expect was to have the baby and then be so at peace with my body. I had this, wow, like this huge appreciation of what my body had just done and given me that I wish that I'd given myself a little bit more of that grace through the pregnancy," she said.
