It's been two decades since Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan filmed "Freaky Friday." And the Oscar winner proved the on-screen mother and daughter are still close after Curtis took to Instagram to celebrate Lohan, who is expecting her first child.

In a recent Instagram post, Lohan documented her first baby shower in a photo dump that showed her appreciation for all the "wonderful people" in her life. And in support of her former co-star, Curtis shared the same post on her Instagram account and wrote, "My friend and film daughter @lindsaylohan is growing up! So thrilled for her. What a mama she will be."

In the comments section, fans were touched by Curtis' gesture, with one fan writing, "Obsessed with you sharing this! She's glowing! So happy to see her this happy." Another fan shared, "This is so sweet. Love women supporting each other," and a third wrote, "I love the way you support other women. Lindsay went through hard times and deserves happiness. So glad for her!" A fourth fan added, "Congrats, Grandmother film."

During an interview, Curtis revealed she would love to share the silver screen again with her on-screen, body-swapping daughter. "There would be nothing I would love more, honestly, than to be able to work with her again, share our time again, and now be able to share it at this age with both of us 20 years older, or whatever we are," Curtis said.

Although the co-stars turned close friends played a mother and daughter with a strained relationship, the "Prom Night" star shared that off-screen she and Lohan have kept in contact for years, even after the younger actress left American shores. "We've never not been in contact," Curtis shared.

The Oscar winner also revealed that a "Freaky Friday" sequel was not only wishful thinking, admitting that there was "a lot of good talk going on" about reviving Mark Waters' 2003 adaptation of Mary Rodgers' 1972 novel of the same name. While "Freaky Friday" fans still have to keep their fingers crossed in suspense, they could at least enjoy the throwback Curtis posted of her and Lohan.

"It's Friday. I'm just sayin! Freaky fingers crossed! @lindsaylohan @disney (sic)," she captioned the post of two actresses embracing. Jamie Lee Curtis also showed Lindsay Lohan support after sharing the poster for Lohan's Christmas movie and writing, "My little girl is all grown UP! @lindsaylohan."
