Salma Hayek brought some splendor to the 2023 Met Gala Ball by choosing a dramatic red outfit. As she shared a look at her dress on social media, she simply captioned the post with "For you Karl," paying homage to the late fashion industry icon, Karl Lagerfeld.

Salma Hayek Pinault dazzled in a glossy red corset with strands of pearls hanging freely off the shoulders. A puffy tulle skirt, made in layers and featuring a high slit covered with sheer red lace, added to the ensemble.

The Hollywood star complemented her outfit with red patent leather pumps and heavy earrings. Red lips and hair tied into a low ponytail and split into three sections added even more memorable details.

Hayek's fans were bewitched by her Gucci outfit. "Can you be any more beautiful?" asked one commenter, while another added, "You look amazing!"

Salma Hayek paid tribute to the designer due to the Met Gala 2023 theme, which states "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty". In this way, the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute honors the late Lagerfeld, who often attended the event himself.

Karl Lagerfeld passed away on February 19, 2019, at the age of 85 in Paris. Salma was one of the celebrities who knew him personally - she marked his loss with a post on social media. She called Karl her friend and wrote:
