Wylie Elliot Loughran's Birth Was Followed by Lena Headey's Postpartum Depression - Now She Enjoys Motherhood
Wylie Elliot Loughran is Lena Headey's son, whom she had during her first marriage with Peter Loughran. Following Wylie's birth, Headey dealt with postnatal depression and a difficult divorce. She would later have another child with her second husband and go through another divorce.
Wylie Elliot Loughran was born to actress Lena Headey and her first husband, Peter Paul Loughran, in March 2010.
While Headey was over the moon to be a first-time mother, she experienced difficulties after Wylie's birth, including depression.

After Giving Birth to Wylie Elliot Loughran, Lena Headey Fell into Postpartum Depression
Headey experienced clinical depression since she was 15 and learned to control her condition without medication. However, everything changed when she gave birth to Wylie on March 31, 2010. The actress experienced postpartum depression, which she didn't realize until later.
Unfortunately, her postnatal condition came as "Game of Thrones" began filming its first season. As Headey remembers, filming for the hit series was dreadful as she didn't know then what was wrong with her.
She spent a year filming while navigating motherhood and enduring mental and emotional challenges. Headey eventually sought professional help and was diagnosed correctly. She recalled:
"I went a bit nuts and eventually went to a guy who mixes Western and Eastern philosophy in terms of medicine, and he put me on a course of something that changed everything."
Depression was not the only challenge the actress faced. A few years after giving birth, she and Peter divorced and endured a legal battle due to finances. Her then-husband demanded half of their $46,000 tax refund as the divorce proceedings ensured.
However, Headey claimed she needed the money to cover her expenses, revealing her bank account had less than $5 left. The pair also had a legal battle when Peter Loughran filed an emergency motion after Headey brought Wylie to the UK. Peter claimed her actions went against their joint custody agreement.
Fortunately, Headey and Peter reached another agreement and are currently civil, prioritizing their son's well-being above all else.

Lena Headey Is Now Enjoying Motherhood and Showing Love to Her Children
Headey eventually fell in love again and tied the knot with her second husband, director Dan Cadan. The pair welcomed a daughter, Teddy Cadan, on July 10, 2015. Sadly, their marriage also ended in divorce.
Despite her marriages falling apart, Headey remained strong as a mother. In a previous interview, she shared a glimpse of her life as a mom, saying:
"With a second baby, it's easier. With a first baby, it's terrifying. You think, 'Am I going to break them? Or give them too much sugar? Or let them watch too much TV?' With a second baby, you're like, 'They'll be fine.'"
Lena Headey's children rarely appear on her social media, but it's always adorable when she posts about them. In 2022, she shared a glimpse of her son's boxing lessons and thanked the coach. She also posted an Instagram selfie with her children, noting she is lucky to have them in the caption.
Headey, who has been in the entertainment industry for decades, is most recognized for her role as Cersei Lannister in "Game of Thrones," alongside Kit Harrington, Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner, and Maisie Williams.
She also starred in "Possession," "The Remains of the Day," "The Brothers Grimm," and "300." Headey's career brought her to many corners of the world to film for movies, including India for "The Jungle Book," Russia for "Onegin," Norway for "Aberdeen," and Bulgaria for "The Contractor.
