Kelly Ripa Jokingly Calls Mark Consuelos Her 'Lover' as They Celebrate 27 Years Together

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos celebrate a significant milestone in their love life - this Monday marked the 27th anniversary of their wedding. Both actors shared heartfelt posts on social media to commemorate the occasion.

Kelly Ripa prepared a short video clip showcasing 27 years of their family life in 27 seconds. Slides from the video highlight the very beginning of their relationship and the present, featuring official red-carpet events and quiet family evenings spent together.

From his side, Mark Consuelos shared an intimate throwback photo of the couple tenderly kissing. He also wrote that they've already spent more than a quarter of a century together.

Consuelos' wife responded to his post with a joke, writing, "Happy #metgala day, lover," as their celebration coincided with the 2023 Met Gala Ball date.

They first met as young, promising actors on the set of "All My Children." Kelly recalls imagining the entire future they could have together the very first moment she saw him.

Kelly and Mark quickly understood that the feelings between them were much more than just a brief romance. So, after dating for a while, Consuelos proposed to Ripa, and they soon flew to Las Vegas to elope.

After one of their anniversaries, Consuelos once admitted he still feels "crazy" about his wife. In one of the interviews, he said:

"She's an extremely patient and a tolerant woman, and I think that’s the true secret to our marriage."

Mark also spoke about the secrets of their long-lasting marriage, revealing that because of Kelly's work, he would get up early to make her a cup of coffee. Later, the two would talk, as they enjoy having conversations together.

"All My Children" alums became parents thrice, welcoming daughter Lola Consuelos and sons Michael Consuelos and Joaquin Consuelos. All their children have now grown up and gone to college, making Kelly and Mark official empty nesters.
