Michael Evans Behling's Relationships - The Actor Was Married for a Few Months

Michael Evans Behling has established himself among the most notoriously private Hollywood stars. The Ohio native has divulged little about his personal life, particularly his love life; however, news recently broke that he settled the dissolution of a marriage he'd kept secret for some time.

Michael Behling drew his first breath in Columbus, Ohio, on March 5, 1996. He was initially poised for a career as a professional athlete, having grown up in Columbus, Indiana, participating in various sports. He enrolled at Indiana State University, where he studied and ran track.

But, two years later, he was heading to Los Angeles to pursue a full-time entertainment career. Behling began as a model, appearing in several commercials for brand giants, including Nike, Isotoners, Finish Line, and White Castle.

He eventually landed his first acting gig in 2017 as Handsome Dude in "Empire," opposite Jussie Smollett, Terrance Howard, and Taraji P. Henson. A year later, Behling won his breakout role as Jordan Baker in the sports drama series, "All American," alongside Apryl Jones' lover Taye Diggs and Daniel Ezra.

He appeared briefly in Grey's Anatomy in 2019, opposite Ellen Pompeo and Kevin McKidd. In 2021, Behling took his first film role as Jackson Stone in "A Cinderella Story: Starstruck," co-starring Bailee Madison. Last year, he co-led the mystery thriller, "The Manny."

On TitkTok, the actor sometimes jokes about his love life. He often uses filters that ask questions about it, and the app hasn't been very encouraging. Earlier this month, he stitched a video of an affectionate couple with one of the said filters, which asked, "Why Am I Single?"

The app responded, "Fear of Intimacy." From Behling's reaction, the answer seemed to hit right on the nose. In another video, the filter asked, "Have I Met My True Love?" The disheartening response was, "They're married to someone else. (sic)" Still, despite TikTok trying to dash his hopes, Behling said he wasn't lonely.

Behling was married to a woman named Madison Stanton, whom he wed in April 2021. The former couple, who had no kids, separated in August of that year, and Behling filed for divorce in November, according to online court documents.

Behling had hardly spoken about his love life, let alone mentioned Stanton. She never even appeared on his social media. The news of his filing only surfaced in July 2022, and the divorce was finalized in January this year. Behling kept most of his assets and was not required to pay spousal support.

Still, it was the only information he divulged about the romance: "I am taken," the actor said during a 2019 interview. Behling also shared the qualities that attract him in a woman, such as openness. "I want to be able to talk about her feelings and thoughts with her," he explained.

He added that trust and communication were important, especially with a demanding and time-consuming career like his. Behling, who doesn't want to be considered a heartthrob, also said he made his significant other feel loved by telling her how he felt and doing things that were important to her.
