Lizzy Mathis' Husband Isa Rahman Is a Model Who She Met at a Photoshoot
Lizzy Mathis's husband is Isa Rahman. The two modeling enthusiasts met on a photoshoot set and have been married for over a decade. They share three children.
Mathis started modeling and acting in her native, Detroit, Michigan, at 17. When she graduated high school, she got an academic scholarship and enrolled at Northwestern University. Despite her school commitments, she pursued a part-time career in the showbiz industry.
Mathis eventually moved to New York, where she became a full-time model and actress; professions that saw her become an international celebrity. She went on many trips worldwide, which helped her find a passion for food, style, and beauty from the various cultures she encountered globally.

However, after Mathis married Rahman and started a family, her personal life became her primary focus, and her career fell into the shadows. With time, she began to regain her passions and revived her career alongside motherhood. She founded The Cool Mom Co., which encourages mothers to reignite the passions left behind.
She also branched into several other projects, including a cooking show called "Dinner Party People" and co-hosting shows like Honest Renovations on channels like The Roku Channel. However, the seemingly busier lifestyle hasn't affected her home, as her family remains her priority.

Background information about Rahman is relatively scarce, but his wife has spoken about his roots in some interviews. While writing on "In The Know by Yahoo!" Mathis noted that her husband is from Birmingham, Alabama, where his parents stay. He also has family and friends in Nashville, where he attended college.
Mathis and Rahman share a passion for modeling. Like his wife, who had a strong career as a model, Rahman has also established himself as a popular choice for modeling campaigns. A member of Soul Artist Management, he has been involved in the modeling of suits, casual wear, and underwear.
Although details about when or how his career began are not readily available, he has already worked on various international projects. For example, he was featured in the lookbook of one of America's oldest department stores, Lord and Taylor, several times in 2017.
Rahman has also been photographed by British GQ and appeared in the Father & Son campaign for GQ Italia in March 2013. In May of that year, he was part of Neiman Marcus's spring collection and displayed his dazzling muscular looks in their spring catalog. The super fit gem of a man also shares his workout sessions on Facebook.
Moving away from modeling to his acting career, Rahman has not had as much success as his wife. Mathis' on-screen resume includes productions such as "CSI: Miami" starring David Caruso, Tyler Perry's "House of Payne" featuring Keshia Knight Pulliam, and "Unstoppable" starring Denzel Washington and Chris Pine.
Rahman has been involved in four projects as an actor. These include two short films and an uncredited role in "Blue Crush 2." Perhaps his most significant contribution was as a State Trooper in the long-lasting American soap opera, "Days of Our Lives."
Lizzy Mathis First Met Her Future Husband on Set
After finishing school in different states and before they knew each other, Mathis and Rahman moved to New York at the same time to pursue their modeling careers. One day, Mathis was working on set when Rahman walked in. He had come in to greet the producer on the set, who was his roommate and best friend.
Although Mathis doesn't remember if she and Rahman spoke that day, that was the first time they laid eyes on each other in person. Rahman had seen her photo a week earlier and encouraged his friend, the producer, to pick her for the shoot.
A week after their first meeting, they met again after Mathis, who rarely left the house in her free time, went out with her friends to a party. While at the party, Rahman walked in again, and this time, they talked with Mathis asking him where they might have met before as she couldn't quite place it.
Awkwardly for Mathis, Rahman replied with a simple "Yeah, Maybe" as he kept walking. Luckily, about 30 minutes later, she felt his eyes on her from across the room. Rahman looked at Mathis for a long time before he finally came over and spoke to her.
During the half an hour they talked, Rahman realized he wanted to hear Mathis's voice for the rest of his days. And so, at the end of their conversation, Rahman told a dumbfounded Mathis, "I think you are going to be my wife." Despite being caught off guard, Mathis admitted she immediately felt comfortable.
The pair then began their life journey together. They dated for four years and lived together for most of that time. In the fifth year, the couple exchanged vows in March 2009 and made a pact that they would never put their careers ahead of family.

The couple shares three young kids, two girls, and one boy. Although the couple often shares photos of their children, their names are not given in the posts.
Rahman often praises and appreciates Mathis, calling her an exemplary mother. For example, in May 2021, he posted a picture of her and wrote, "I knew from the first time I met her she would be a great mother. My instincts were spot on. She has exceeded my expectations! Maybe she will give me one more. Hahaha."
Mathis and Rahman recently celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary but seemed to love and enjoy each other like newlyweds. They participate in many activities, including working out and making funny Instagram videos.
