McNally is an actor and a writer, and the talent for the performing arts seems to run in their family. Several of his cousins are also performers, including Drew Seely, who featured Selena Gomez on his song "New Classic" in 2009. McNally also had a one-episode appearance on "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" starring Ashley Tisdale and Dylan Sprouse.

The actor boats with credits in 38 television and film productions so far in his career going on almost two decades. His first on-screen appearance came in 2005 when he played an ice cream clerk in one episode of "Killer Instinct."

McNally had to wait another three years for his second appearance, albeit an uncredited role as a fan at a dance competition in "Another Cinderella Story." Two years passed before his third showing as a west hall monitor in "Tower Prep" in 2010. That became his turnaround year.

The pair had a wonderful time on set, reading lines together after work to improve their chemistry on-screen. Gonzalo noted that it is hard to meet someone and fall in love with them the next day; hence, the work they put in together to make their on-screen acting great. The duo eventually became lovers in real-life.

However, the couple has never commented publicly about their relationship. Rumors about them being together arose from their Instagram posts which featured the same dogs. McNally once told the story of how they got the dogs, saying:

"They were abandoned in a cardboard box in an airport. We were supposed to only get one but I couldn't let go of the girl pup and we walked away with two – we're in way over our heads."

McNally's passion for camping began at an early age. Growing up in Vancouver, he often went camping with his family. When he settled in California, he continued the family tradition by going out into the backwoods whenever he needs a reset after long days in his daily life.

Gonzalo is also a fan. After posting a photo of her baby on a swing, she replied to a comment that pointed out the baby being ready for camping, saying that she agreed and was coming for an adventure soon.
