Hailey Whitters's husband, Jake Gear, has not only been by the country singer's side for over ten years but also helped Whitters release one of her albums. The proud newlywed often uses social media to praise his wife and celebrate her wins after a long journey to success.

Originally from Iowa, Whitters has been involved in the music industry for years and has worked with some of the most well-known country singers. However, the talented artist took many years to make a name for herself and succeed as a performer, with hit country songs such as "A Beautiful Noise" and "Everything She Ain't."

Behind the scenes, Whitters's longtime partner and now husband has played a significant role in her career after helping the singer make one of her albums and watching her fame grow. Since meeting 12 years ago, the couple has celebrated over ten years of romance and recently tied the knot.

In July 2020, Gear turned to Instagram to document his and Whitters's engagement after he proposed in a field in Nashville. He shared a picture of him and the singer wearing beaming smiles as she had her left hand—which had a diamond rock—on display.

"'Yes' never sounded sweeter... and was well worth the 8-year wait. Here's to forever, @haileywhitters. Never gonna let you go," Gear sweetly captioned the post.

In May 2022, the singer and her fiancé celebrated their tenth anniversary before walking down the aisle. Following their 2020 engagement, Whitters and Gear chose to postpone their wedding due to the pandemic, and she humorously said:

"...my family is gonna want to get loud and drunk and sweaty and dance — and that just didn't even sound safe."

However, their wedding day, which they described as the best day of their lives, finally arrived nearly two years later. The newlyweds shared snaps of their special day on social media, including a hilarious black-and-white photo of the singer upside down over a keg. Due to her position, her dress fell to her waist and revealed custom bloomers that read, "Mrs. Gear."

Since obtaining his Bachelor of Business Administration in Music Business from Belmont University, Gear has served as the Vice President of Hang Your Hat Music for two years. Before that, he was the Senior Creative Director at BMG - The New Music Company after gaining experience at other music companies.

Also, an Iowa native, Gear worked on Whitters's album, "Ten Year Town," with her for years. Due to the cost, it was a project they did over time. During the process, Grear blankly asked his future wife, "Do you want a ring or a record?" Without hesitation, Whitters answered, "A record." She shared:

"We put everything that we had into it."

Their hard work paid off, as after hearing "no" and having doors closed in her face, Whitters was nominated for the New Female Artist of the Year award at the ACM Awards. Following her win, Gear took to his Instagram account, which had amassed nearly 4,00 followers at the time of writing, to celebrate.

"Proud of you, sweetheart, for the 15 years of hoein' your own row - and despite all the no's & closed doors to be recognized by the voting members of the @acmawards across the industry (sic)," he wrote.

Although Gear and Whitters—who went on tour with Jordan Davis and worked with Alan Jackson—are yet to welcome children, they have their hands full with her large family.

Whitters is the youngest of six children, and her parents are one of nine siblings each, giving the singer plenty of first, second, and third cousins she is very close with. Her grandpa is one of 15 children, and Whitters humorously said, "My fiancé jokes every time he comes home; he's still meeting someone new."
