Actress, businesswoman, model, and producer Sheree Julienne Wilson is best known for her iconic role as April Ewing in the timeless series, "Dallas." Following this, she landed a role opposite fellow acting star Chuck Norris to play Alex Cahill-Walker on "Walker, Texas Ranger."

Before gaining worldwide recognition for her acting talents, Wilson pursued a business and fashion merchandising degree. By the time the blonde bombshell graduated in 1981, she had scored a big break at a fashion shoot in Denver. She ended up getting signed by the premiere modeling agency, Wilhelmina Models.

After spending three years in modeling, Wilson received a call from her agent to audition for an upcoming movie, prompting her move to Los Angeles. She ended up getting the starring role in the film "Crimewave," and, from there, continued to book roles in an array of features.

Shortly after that, producers started to take notice of the newcomer, and in 1985, she starred in "Kane & Abel," alongside Peter Strauss. Of all the productions Wilson has been a part of, "Dallas" and "Walker, Texas Ranger" are amongst the most popular TV franchises globally.

Wilson's portrayal of April Ewing on "Dallas" was so well done that the executive producer, Leonard Katzman, admitted that offing Wilson's character was his biggest regret of the show.

After Wilson married her former husband, Paul Thomas DeRobbio, in 1991, she fell pregnant. She chose to exit the show, and that became her last year on the series because she wanted to focus on becoming a mother. She recalled:

"The problem is I requested it [because] I was seven months pregnant with my first child when I married Bobby [the character Patrick Duffy played]. Nobody knew it because I had the biggest bouquet of flowers covering my belly [and] I had a miniskirt and a low-cut top, so they were focusing on legs and other parts."

Despite being pregnant, Wilson also believed that the show was nearing its end and felt it was an excellent time to make her exit. She had her plan all mapped out, but unfortunately, her prediction that the show would end soon after she left did not come to fruition.

After giving a directorial note to put her character to death in a dramatic way — being machine-gunned down during her honeymoon — Wilson thought she would be happy with her decision. However, following her exit, "Dallas," producers rebooted the show. They brought it back for a reunion special, and she admitted regret for not having been a part of the momentous occasion.

What Sheree J. Wilson's Life Looks Like Now

After leaving the show, Wilson welcomed her second child with DeRobbio, before divorcing him in 2004. For a long time, she placed her acting on the back burner to be a mother to her two boys — Nicolas and Luke.

As a single mother, her next serious relationship came 15 years after her first marriage, when she married her current husband, Vince Morella, in 2018.

Wilson and Morella have been together since they wed, and the couple appears happy and in love. A year into their marriage, Wilson posted a loving tribute to her dashing beau — a testament to how grateful she is to have found him:

"Happy anniversary, my Prince! Love you to the Universe and back! I am grateful [for] every moment with you!"

Outside of being a loving wife to her husband, Wilson enjoys engaging in various pastimes. One keeps in proper form with her cowgirl character, Alex from "Walker, Texas Ranger" — horseback riding.

The star has posted pictures of herself and her friends having the best time while riding horses. She claims nothing is better than enjoying fresh air under the open blue skies while riding beautiful horses in friends' company.

Despite most of Wilson's focus orbiting around her family, the actress is still reminiscent of her acting heydays.

The actress's love of horses dates back to her equestrian competition days as a young girl. She won first place in the 1995 National Multiple Sclerosis Rodeo for riding cutting horses.

Her love of horses is so extensive that she rescued a retired racehorse in 2008 and helped establish the White Bridle Humane Society. The organization is a non-profit that specializes in horse equine therapy in Texas.

Though she may enjoy many things, few hobbies compare to engaging in family activities with her loved ones. Christmas appears to be one of her family's favorite holidays.

Wilson has a ton of cheerful family pictures celebrating with all family members present and accounted for. One particular image shows her adorable grandchildren all posing in matching Christmas pajamas.

Wilson is just as devoted and doting a grandmother as she is a mother. She always looks forward to spending quality time with her grandchildren and is unafraid to boast about this on social media. On one occasion, while her youngest grandchild's parents were out at a wedding, she and her hubby got to look after the cute little girl. She documented the moment, writing:

"What an amazing treat and blessing to spend this precious time with Margot while Mommy and Daddy went to a wedding in Nashville. We loved every second!"

Baby Margot's grandmother absolutely adores her, and the two spend copious amounts of time together. The grandma-grandbaby duo is frequently seen getting up to all sorts of activities.

They like taking walks in parks, eating dinner together, and watching movies. Recently, baby Margot celebrated Easter with her grandparents, and the deep connection and love they share can be felt through the precious pictures Wilson posted on her Instagram.

Sheree J. Wilson Still Reminisces over Her Acting Days

Despite most of Wilson's focus orbiting around her family, the actress is still reminiscent of her acting heydays. She has maintained good relationships with her fellow co-stars from "Dallas" and "Walker, Texas Ranger."

Wilson shares a friendship with co-star Norris, maintaining the close ties they developed while still part of their show. The friends first met on the set of "Hellbound" in 1993 and have remained friends since.

Of her personal relationship with Norris, Wilson recalls how often the two would joke around and laugh with each other. She also disclosed how she and fans alike revere and respect the ranger.

When it comes to keeping in contact with her TV family, she reported the following:

"We're very close, [and] we try to see each other when we can. When it's someone's birthday, we try to get together for lunch. We stay in touch, despite our work, children, and other roles in life [and] we have a great love and like for one another."

From her "Dallas" family, Wilson was closest to Larry Hagman, who played the unsavory oil baron J.R. Ewing on the show. In fact, he was a strong advocate for attempting to get Wilson back on "Dallas" after she chose to leave.

She reported that her friendship with Hagman lasted years after her exit until he tragically passed away. Wilson considered him a second father figure, and she would frequently spend weekends at his residence in Malibu before she started filming "Walker, Texas Ranger."

While the "Walker, Texas Ranger" star may be busy being a doting mother, wife, and grandmother, she still takes moments to look back and appreciate the amazingly successful career she has had. Though there has not been word of whether she plans to return to the screen soon, she still maintains close contact with her friends in the industry.
