Cara Delevingne's Parents: Pandora and Charles Delevingne Lived the Upper-Class Lifestyle
Cara Delevingne's parents, Pandora and Charles Delevingne were accustomed to a life of luxury and privilege. They had an upper-class lifestyle with connections to prestigious circles and the royal family.
Cara Jocelyn Delevigne drew her first breath in London, England, on August 12, 1992. Her career in modeling began when she was ten, and she ascended the industry ranks. Ten years later, she won the 2012 Model Of The Year at the British Fashion Awards.
That same year, she became one of the most wanted models globally. She worked with Burberry, Zara, H&M, and Chanel and has graced the runway in Victoria's Secret, Dolce and Gabbana, Moschino, and Oscar de la Renta garments.

Fans may also recognize the young model from Vogue covers worldwide (UK, Korea), i-D, and Style.com covers. Around the mid-2010s, she slowed down from modeling, and acting became her primary focus.
Though her first film role was in the 2012 romantic drama "Anna Karenina," her part in 2015's "Paper Towns" is chiefly recognized as her first major acting gig. Cara starred as Margo in the award-winning comedy alongside Nat Wolffe and "Euphoria" star Austin Abrams.
Among others of her most notable onscreen appearances are "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets," opposite Dane DeHaan and Rihanna, "Suicide Squad," and "Life in a Year," co-starring Jaden Smith.

Cara has indeed made a name for herself, and it is a fact her parents take much pride in. She was born to Charles Delevigne and Pandora Delevigne (nee Stevens), an aristocratic couple who gave her a luxurious childhood.
The actress is a descendant of high society members with connections in the royal family. And while her family remains a solid unit, they have persevered through trying times involving mental health struggles and substance abuse.

Cara's Parents Lived the Upper-Class Lifestyle
Cara's father, Charles, is a well-established property developer. Her mother, Pandora, worked as a personal shopper at Selfridges. It is believed that Pandora has assisted/advised the Princess of Wales in terms of style; however, as she put it:
"Well, I think advise is putting it too strongly. I've just suggested a few more interesting pieces for her to wear."
In 2016, The Times reported that she was running a pop-up shop in her home, offering boho-chic garments and South African jewelry. Pandora was born to the late Sir Jocelyn Stevens, who once owned Queens Magazine, now known as Harpers Bazaar.

The publishing magnate died of dementia in the mid-2010s, and Pandora had a colorful memory of her father. "He was a workaholic. He was a very dynamic man, but I was scared of him because he had such a hot temper. He drove my mother mad," she recalled.
Still, it was difficult to watch him battle dementia, as she said, "It was awful. I couldn't bear it." Her mother, Jane Sheffield, once worked as a lady-in-waiting to Princess Margaret and was an 'It' girl. Jane was also a charter member of Her Majesty's Mustique, set in the 1960s.
Pandora said her mother and the princess were best friends, and her parents often spent holidays with Princess Margaret and her husband. The couple gave Pandora a lavish upbringing but rarely spent time with her.

It was a parenting model Pandora didn't wish to follow, so she spent as much time as possible with her daughters. Before she and Charles completed their family with Cara, they had her older sisters, Poppy and Chloe, who are now married.
Cara's Mom, Pandora, Suffered from Mental Health Issues
Cara's mother was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at 30, several years after struggling with the mental illness. It characterized many painful periods in her life. "I'd have these huge highs then crashing lows where everything felt so bleak. The highs were manic and the lows beyond terrible," she recalled.

Pandora turned to drugs, and it wasn't long before she was addicted. Her dependence on the substance negatively affected how present she was as a mother. Sometimes she would be too ill to get up and care for her daughters.
Her parents also knew about her addiction, and her father did everything he could to track down her dealers. He never understood why she was an addict, but her mental health and addiction weren't the only things driving her pain.
Pandora had a brother who suffered from cerebral palsy and had a difficult life. He died at 25, and she believed his death was the onset of her depression. Despite her ongoing struggles, however, her family remained strong and supportive.

Cara's Dad Revealed He Named Her after a Magazine
Charles revealed the origins of Cara's name when he spoke to the Irish Times in October 2021. "I remember I used to go backwards and forwards to Dublin a lot, and the name of the Aer Lingus magazine was Cara. I loved the name," he said.
Aer Lingus is an Irish airline that once provided the in-flight magazine Cara for free. It was discontinued amid the pandemic in 2020, though its publishers said they planned to reintroduce it.

Cara's Parents Were Once Worried for Their Daughter
In September 2022, Cara was seen acting rather strange and looking disheveled at Los Angeles Airport. Sources reported that the 30-year-old had been forced to leave rapper and entrepreneur Jay-Z's jet and was behaving "erratically."
She walked without shoes, sporting a Britney Spears t-shirt, black sweatpants, and orange socks. She also had bruises on her arms. Before this sighting, the actress had been forthcoming about her battle with ADHD and depression.
She has also been open about her history of drug use but has maintained that she never got addicted. Her loved ones expressed concern over her behavior at LAX but reported that her family would soon stage an intervention.
