Shannen Doherty, a famous actress known for roles in iconic shows like, "Little House on the Prairie," "Charmed," "Beverly Hills, 90210," and more recently shared a candid video from when she was about to undergo a tumor removal surgery.
The actress shared a clip from January 16 explaining that she was trying her best to look brave when she was petrified and was seen asking several medical questions about the procedure.
But many more questions went through her head before her surgery and biopsy. Doherty feared that she would not be the same after the procedure and struggled with the possibility of leaving her mother, who had been by her side throughout her cancer diagnosis.
The "Charmed" star wondered what life for her mother would look like without her, but she shared this grueling process because she wanted to be honest with her fans about what dealing with cancer looked like.
This was not the first honest video the actress shared during this tough time in her life. Doherty also posted a video of her going for a CT scan and captioned it with the day's date, "January 9, 2023."

In the following days, she gave her followers an update. The "Little House on the Prairie" star was crying, explaining that her cancer had spread and that doctors had found metastases in her brain.
The actress explained that she was getting a mask made for her, which she would wear during radiation. In that same post, Doherty confessed that January 12, 2023, was her first day of radiation and that she was scared and extremely claustrophobic.
Despite the anxiety from this life-threatening experience, Doherty was grateful for the amazing doctors doing everything possible to help her regain her health.

Unfortunately, this was not the actress' first cancer diagnosis. In 2015 she underwent eight rounds of chemotherapy for her breast cancer and got a single mastectomy.
In 2017 the breast cancer was cleared, but in 2020, Doherty revealed that she was diagnosed again with stage four cancer. She candidly said that she sometimes wondered why her, but then "Who else? Who else besides me deserves this? None of us do," she added.
At the time, the actress had not yet processed the return of her tumor and reiterated that it was a tough pill to swallow. Nonetheless, she withstood the test and came out stronger.
Going through a Divorce amid a Cancer Battle
In April 2023, Doherty filed for divorce ending her marriage of 11 years with celebrity photographer Kurt Iswarienko.
The divorce was a shock, as the actress had just undergone a petrifying brain tumor removal surgery. Doherty's publicist, Leslie Sloan, said ending her marriage was the last thing she wanted but felt that she had no other option.

The "Heathers" star would praise her ex-husband for being supportive. In a 2019 post, she wrote, "My happy place got a lot happier with the arrival of my best friend. I couldn't love this man more," and considered herself lucky to have a husband that always kept things interesting.
