For many families, Father's Day is the perfect time to show the dad's in their lives how much they are appreciated. In actor Michael Douglas's house, the family jumped at the chance to show the actor how much he means to them with a family get-together, followed by a few heartwarming Instagram posts.
Michael Douglas, known for films such as "Fatal Attraction," and, more recently, the "Ant-Man" franchise, celebrated Father's Day with those closest to him. The actor shared a sweet picture of him enjoying a hearty Father's Day breakfast with his two beloved kids, Carys Douglas and Dylan Douglas.

The picture Michael posted to Instagram showed him sitting between his son and daughter, wrapping his arms around their shoulders. In front of the happy trio stood a table packed with a variety of delicious breakfast foods — from crispy bacon, sausages, and a bowl of baked beans, to scrambled eggs and a plate of fruit.
Although she despised the paparazzi always swarming about her, Carys made a point of staying focused on herself and who she wanted to be.

Michael sat in front of the camera with his two kids as his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, took the picture. The actor captioned the snapshot, "Happy Father's Day to all! Peace and Love ❤️." And while Michael shared an image of him and his kids, Carys made a tribute of her own.
The actor's daughter took to Instagram, sharing an image of her and her beloved dad posing together. She captioned the post sweetly, "Today and everyday I look to you Dadda - in love and in gratitude ❤️ I love you."
From their social media presence, many social media users have noticed how much Michael and Catherine look like their kids. One person commented, "Their daughter looks like Michael, and [their] son looks like [Catherine] absolutely cool." Another wrote, "The daughter looks so much like her dad," while a third shared the same sentiments.
Growing Up with Actor Parents
Besides being the spitting image of her father, Carys is also extremely close to him. She didn't grow up believing her dad was as big of a Hollywood icon as he is. Instead, Catherine and Michael chose to raise her in sunny Bermuda for the first part of her life, far removed from the bustle of Hollywood life.
Carys was glad to be in tow for the event since her dad was honored with a Palme d'Or prize to mark his dedication to his career and his talent as an actor.

Carys confessed to believing her father was a pancake maker while they lived on the Island. She had no clue he was a renowned actor. However, things changed when the family moved to Manhattan, and Carys became acutely aware of just how famous her mom and dad were.
And at first, it was jarring. She opened up about adjusting to life in Hollywood, recalling how the paparazzi became a pest she rather would have gone without. They would jump on the same subway cart as Carys and her family, taking the seat closest to the Douglases. However, she soon realized it was an unavoidable part of their lives.

Although she despised the paparazzi always swarming about her, Carys made a point of staying focused on herself and who she wanted to be. As a young girl, Carys reportedly repeated a serenity mantra to remain calm amid the Hollywood chaos. And she learned to be graceful and civil from a young age, with her mom as her teacher.
Catherine opened up about raising her daughter, saying she followed her own mother's guidelines for how a teenage girl should act. She wanted Carys to have manners, noting, "There's nothing worse than a privileged kid without manners." So, she taught Carys the value of the life her parents gave her.

Carys has confessed that she was taught to be thankful from a young age. She realizes what a unique upbringing she has had and tries not to make a big fuss about herself. As Michael's daughter grows up, she remains polite, remembers her manners, and tries to enrich herself at every opportunity.
Carys Making a Public Appearance with Her Parents
Carys has revealed that she hopes to do great things, but she also wants to follow in her father and mother's footsteps. She recently had her first taste of celebrity life when she graced the red carpet at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival alongside her parents. And Michael seemed proud to see her with them.
The 20-year-old Carys looked resplendent in a white sheer Elie Saab dress, matching brands with her marvelous mother. Catherine opted for a flowing red gown paired with an impressive cape, while her husband looked stylish in a classic black tuxedo and bowtie. And, of course, he posed with his two dates on his arms.
Carys was glad to be in tow for the event since her dad was honored with a Palme d'Or prize to mark his dedication to his career and his talent as an actor. Michael took to the stage after a slew of photos with his wife and daughter. The actor referred to the two women in his speech, thanking them for their love and support.
Carys also thanked Cannes for the opportunity to celebrate the event with her father by making an Instagram post. She shared images of the evening and wrote, "Thank you, Cannes, for the most wonderful evening! It was an honor to celebrate my father as he received his lifetime achievement Palme d’Or. Bon festival!"
